When we die, do we become a god or goddess? If we'd explore a lot further into the study of religion we can see that there are many gods and/or goddess. So, is all gods the same? Are they all different? Moreover, why was a god created?
For example, the Greek religion of mythical stuff, a woman with snakes(Medusa), blah blah blah... So we can see now that a god wasn't real, just a made-up creature. Sure there might have been a person that helped a lot of the community out, still he/she is not a god. No one practically is a god/goddess. Who cares about religion, you now see, in this society, religion is a big deal and has started numerous wars and mischiefs.
Sorry if I went tangent there.
Going back to the question; Is God real?
In my way of thinking, why would a creature sitting on a marshmallow cloud stroking his/her beard and creating mankind? Why would a (mythical) creature choosing paths for us, controlling our lives? We need to think theoretically that a god/goddess was a made-up story, nonsense stuff. If people(s) thinks that there is a god, prove it, where is the facts. Sure a person was probably named Jesus and died on a cross but that doesn't mean that that is the true theory that a god/goddess lives or has existed. Also, many say; "But the bible says!" The bible says nothing, it is a book, people write books for a living and make a fortune. Another expression; "Going to church is part of "god's/goddess's existence!" Okay, where did you come up with that expression?
Furthermore, if we believe there is a god, how do we know that it is/was a guy? It could've been a woman. And it could've been nothing at all...
Look at it this way, no one has the right to control who you are, what your lifestyle should be, whether you believe in religious aspects, and how you will be judged...

You don't need to feel guilty for questioning a God who gives no definite proof of his existence. Jesus was probably a historical figure, but from a historical viewpoint, the only sources about him being divine or even existing at all are secondary sources. There are no primary sources. A lot of Christians argue that the big bang theory can't be real because "nothing happened to nothing and nothing randomly exploded" when actually there was never nothing. The universe was a dense ball of mass that expanded, although Bill Nye explains it better than I. And that same argument about nothing coming from nothing use can be thrown back at Christians by the asking the simple question "who created god?" This is the main reason I'm an atheist. Theology class told me that God is a self created being, meaning there was a time when he didn't exist until he created himself. How can something or someone that doesn't exist create anything at all let alone himself? He can't, it would be paradoxical.

I completely understand where you are coming from. I wont beat around the bush that the rest of society seem to do for the answer I found is Yes, and this is my conclusion.
1)Science- science is often used to try to contradict the existence of God, but it actually strengthens it. I'm talking about the REAL science , not the load of crap science that deals in the "many freken theories with no proof", the real logical observable science. First off we can observe that the universe is expanding from one point right. This is the point of the Big Bang. You see because everything is expanding from that point than it all STARTED there and because it started it was once still. Think of it like marbles in a circle with a firecracker in the middle. We can see from the laws of physics that nothing will move unless acted upon by an unbalanced force but because everything was still everything was balanced,so what set it off.Only an divine external force could have set it off(remember there is nothing living yet)... God. Einstein, Sir Issac Newton,Lincoln and many others have drawn the same conclusion.
2) D.N.A.- You see another set of proof that is my favorite is DNA. Here is a little back story, the man who founded the double DNA helix was an atheist. He thought that there was no God and so on until he saw the double DNA helix. He instantly knew that what he had just found was too complex to form on its own. You see DNA are the instructions of life , it tells the cell that it is in how to produce proteins and how to work etc. Think of the cell as a computer. Now think of the DNA as the software of the computer. The software tells all of the other hardware what to do when to do it and so on. Now imagin what a computer could do with out the software....nothing. The software (DNA) cannot just happen like other things. the software has to be written by an intelligent being. Now seeing that these instructions of life (DNA) must be written by an intelligent being what chocies do we have:
a)humans-answer is not a because we are made of the DNA so something must make that DNA before we existed.
b)aliens-answer is not b because if there were aliens then they would be made of DNA as well and the DNA would have to be made first to make them
c)God- answer is God because He does not require DNA for he is the Creator.
Okay, I am not forcing you to do anything, I just what you to be able to see the other side of the equation that has been prevalent in society for thousands upon thousands of years and that modern society has been trying to cover up If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

Yes. And i also believe in the Biblical God. I KNOW he exists because:
1. Scientific proofs have led to the FACT that the Big Bang did indeed happen. The Red Shift in Edwin Hubble's observations (look up Edwin Hubble Big Bang), the proof of cosmic background radiation, and Einstein's theory of relativity all prove the Big Bang to have occurred.
2. If the Big Bang did occur, then there must have been a beginning. If there is a beginning, there is a creator that does not exist within the confines of the universe. He is all-powerful and wields authority over all. With this in mind; the Biblical God exists because this God creates miracles, if the creator in #2 does not exist in the universe and he can create Biblical miracles
Biblical God:
1. Scientists have proved Jesus an actual person to have existed at the right time and place as what is told in the New Testament.
2. Not only would Jesus actually have been where many believe at the time of Biblical Jesus, if he is God, then he could create miracles (#2^^^^).
3. Not only do Christians believe that Jesus was the Son of Man, Jews acknowledge that Jesus was alive AND they believe he was a prophet. A prophet is someone who can communicate with God.
Twist and loop this how you want so you can believe it or not, but these are facts and even my mind tries to find ways around it but when you come down to the facts along with amazing stories people have about their experiences with God, i truly believe in God.

I like to think so and I do not have real proof of it but I think of all of the Miracles that has happened that no human on earth could make that happen like an example women lifting cars off of children there has to be another Force there helping and I never believed in this and tell it happened to me I am a very young Widow and before my husband passed away I asked him if you could come back and tell me if you are okay to do that and when I return back to work several months later the house was dark I was having a hard time going to work and I always carried a camera with me something made me turn around and snap a picture in the dark when I got to work I looked at the picture it was my husband's silhouette in that picture I think God gave him the will to come back and tell me that he would be ok

How did this work out for you? It was posted quite some time ago, so have you learned anything new. You should have. The Bible tells us that, if you seek the truth from God, you will find it. He will make sure you do. Obviously, this means, that I do believe there is a divine creator. The Great I Am, the Father of Jacob, Abraham, and Isaac. who gave us his only begotten Son.Jesus the Son of God, as well as the Holy Spirit. I have watched and read many things, as well as the Bible. Mostly the New Testament in the Bible. Since, after the coming of Jesus, his Crucifixion and death, and Resurrection. After his Ascension and sending of the Holy Spirit to live within us and guide us. The history of mankind was forever changed after the Grace of God allowed us a way to Salvation and Redemption by the covering of Sin with the blood of the Lamb. The sacrificing of the Lamb of God, allowed us a pathway through Jesus to the Father. There are tons of videos, articles, books and programs that point to a creation. There is also, the Holy Bible, the King James version is the usual choice. Reading the Bible will reveal many truths to your heart and mind and soul. Anything leading you away from the Son of God, Holy Spirit and God the Father of the trinity. Is not of the truth, and you need to turn away from it. Satan has only one requirement to keep your soul in Hell and joined with him. If you don't accept Jesus as the Son of God, and the Lord and Savior of the universe. As well as the release of the Holy Spirit and the completion of the trinity of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. No matter what you do believe when it comes to all things, if this isn't part of it. You are doomed for all eternity. Here is the most important verse in the whole Bible. It is John 3:16 and it says,"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son. That whosoever believeth in him shall not parish. but have life everlasting.."

Well in my life I have seen that God is real because I would not be alive if he was not real since God has told my dad that I was a healthy girl and I am here and some people need to see miracles or experience God for themselves

Fist of all, I am an atheist and i apoligize if I offend any of you Christians or anyone with any other belief you choose. I personally don't believe in God. I grew up in a Christian family so naturally, I believed in God. That all changed when my life changed drastically. When i was only 8 years old, my parents and 2 year old little brother died in a fire. At the time, I had kept wishing that God had taken my life so that I could be reunited with my family once again. Imagine, an 8 year old girl, wishing she was dead, and prepared to die all because she thought thats what God wanted.
'Maybe he forgot me'
was what I would think.
A few month after the accident, I was so fed up with my lonely life that i tried to take my own life so that I could be with my family, and finally get to meet God.
I look back on that moment thinking, not
Thank God'
but
'Thank my Foster mother'.
For she is the one the took away the rope. It didn't have anything to do with God. I owe my life to her, not God, because in my opinion, God is not real.

I apologize for some people's rude comments. I am also sorry for the tough things going on in your family's lives. My mom had a really tough childhood, being tossed between homes, molested, and verbally abused. Many would ask why a loving God would let this happen to her? She is now able to use her story to comfort others going through depression and has been able to share God's love with her family who can see how she has been transformed. Sometimes we don't understand why bad things happen. But God can use bad things to ultimately bring good.
Also, the sad reality of Hell brings about the question of "Why would a loving God send people to Hell?" Well, why would a loving God force someone who doesn't love Him to spend eternity with Him?

There is this so called "God" because we humans can't find a reason for something.
God is created to make people follow or be good to others.
It is simply like a story for little children. Most stories have monsters the eat or kill kids if they are bad.
God is like that, if this guy is bad you go to hell. We humans are very curious and we want to explain everything .But we simply can't.
God is not true.
Evidence No.1
He is the most powerful being isn't he? He created everything didn't he? So he created good and bad. He is the root cause of everything, he also made bad, so he is like the maker of the devil.
Evidence No.2
When the Garden of Eden was made along with animals and stuff. He created man right after, then came woman.
God made the Fruit of knowledge. But why did he make it? So he himself created temptation? Why did the serpent tricked Adam and Eve? Why did God let the serpent trick Adam and Eve? Where is God during that time? Isn't God Omnipresent? Isn't God All knowing? Why does he have to test Adam and Eve?
