She's not.

Most legitimate psychics don't go around bragging about it. To do so would be to cause problems. There are too many people out there that don't want anyone with real power running loose that isn't under their thumb. The easiest way to tell a charlatan from a real one is if they go public, radio, TV, etc. The government and other more secret groups would find some way to get them under their control or kill them. If they last more than a week or two they are definitely a fake.

If the psychic tells you more than you tell him/her, he /she may be real. If you tell him/her more than he/she tells you, he/she is fake, and playing "20 questions"..a kind of con game. You can spot this when the psychic asks disguised questions which you answer...like:

"I have a spirit. It's male. Is his name...John?"

Wouldn't a real spirit know his own name, and be able to tell a real psychic?

When you say something like:"My brother John! He died in Iraq!" you have told the psychic that: you have a brother, his name is John, and he died in Iraq. The psychic told you nothing. He only guessed that the name John may mean something to someone in the room.

Psychics who play this '20 questions' con are not real psychics. All psychics I have seen, or heard of, have been fakes. Sylvia Browne, and Uri geller, are among the phonies. Contact The Amazing Randi for more advice.

Well for one, people who actually use their psychic energy would probably not be located on the avenues with a neon psychic sign in the window. Anyone who asks for an upfront payment by credit card (and refuses to work with you if you do not have one) or asks for a lot of money to get rid of some "curse" is probably a fraud. A person who asks you a lot of personal questions but doesn't give you any answers that make sense - no good. People that ask you to buy a lot of supplies, like candles, lotions, baths, tonics, etc., no good. These people are usually readers trying to make a buck, meaning they read your face and your body language to see if they are on the right page when "answering" your questions and use this to guide their readings in order to convince you that you need their help and motivate you to pay for it. I believe that real psychics are probably using their abilities towards some greater services, like law enforcement and probably only known by word of mouth.

The real test is they know something which cannot be known by clever observation.

A real psychic would make more money in the stock market than Warren Buffett.

You should a magic trick called "cold reading".

Get to know them. If you hang around a real psychic for any length of time there will be no doubt.

I once saw a "going out of business" sign at a psychic's office and was wondering why she wouldn't have known that before...

There are none. If there were, they would all be rich from winning the lottery and making it big in the stock market. Instead of filching people out of their hard earned money.

Why would you even go and see one? Because once you do you'll be questioning every move and decision you make, which will just make you want to go back to them. That will put them in control of your life.
