Hey, I was wondering if the kids at Catholic schools are all proper, well-behaved virgins. Are they? I mean, since they have religion and they teach you to stay abstinent, do they?

When all is said and done, your "God" could be pure evil, he just won't admit it. The proof is all around him, but he denies the truth. When wrong is right and right is wrong, does anyone win?

Christians oppose many scientific views; like they believe that god created the earth while science has a theory that earth was created from the big bang. Also in some countries religion is incorporated in science classes so as to give a religious view of a topic. So with these type of differences would Christains believe in science?

Was Jesus the Father? No! Because Jesus said: “And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven.” (Matthew 23:9).

even jesus never claimed divinity

For all we know God is nothing more and nothing less than nothing at all.

Allow me to define God: somebody who or something that seems to exist, but does not.

By the way, the atheist was created when your so-called "God" decided to play hide & go seek.

Prove me wrong and you'll be proving me right.

Nowadays, there are hardcore atheists that are angered at the simple notion that god may exist. Many of them even seek to validate their extremist views by preaching atheism to others. They're in one corner.

In the other corner, you have genuine religious fanatics that reminisce about the Dark Ages, or about ancient times. They become angry and even violent with those that believe in something even slightly different than themselves.

Does the true God lie somewhere in between these extremes? My view is that God does not care about religion, but is instead focused on how we live our lives.

What are your views on this subject?

They were in no hurry to write or finish it because it took 4000 years to do so. Prophets revealed the Lord's will to mankind and wrote down their words, teachings, and prophecies. Eventually someone got around to putting all of these writings together.

So if God called another prophet and he did the same, shouldn't those writings be considered scripture and be treated with the same respect as the bible?

....Please don't quote Revelations 22:18. Moses said the same thing in Deuteronomy 4:2.

Please don't say that God can't or won't call another prophet...he's God. He can do what he wants. Besides, there's prophecy that two prophets will come and be killed before his return to Jerusalem.

Secondly, how would we collectively as Christians recognize this prophet and recognize the writings as scripture?

Would most of us be too prideful or arrogant to recognize a modern day prophet? The Jews didn't recognize their Messiah....what makes us think we would be any different?

My child's principal sent a letter home which states- "don't let kids see 'The Golden Compass'." The letter says that the writer, Pullman, is an Atheist, and the movie is "Atheism for kids".

Also, the letter says things about the movie and the author "hating Jesus", and is "darkness which appears to be innocent". It claims because Pullman is an Atheist, he's "killing God in the minds of children".

As an Atheist I'm offended that the school would assume to tell me what to watch. I'm also ticked that they are insinuating Atheists are bad people.

This seems too political for school, and God (or lack there of), isn't allowed in pulic school.

Can I sue for this?

Hell is real, only one man has ever come back from the dead. And he said there is a hell. So are you going to hell or are you living in la la land. Oh yeah, all of you who think there is no God talk to me after you die. There is no such thing as atheists in hell. And to those of you who reject all the witnesses that saw that Man come back from the dead, I want to remind you that if OJ had as many witnesses as that Man you would think OJ was innocent.

I have asked a question of whether or not god is guilty of crimes against humanity at one time or another. The responses were all of the vein that god was our creator so he can do what he wants and also that his ways are not within our right to question but... why is that? I mean if he his who we are to emulate as closely as possible should he not be the highest of moral standing? Yet time and again we see in the bible acts which the UN would attempt to charge as crimes against humanity. the destruction of the city of Ai, the murder of an entire family tree simply because a single man looted goods in a battle and so on. So... why is it that god is within his rights to perpetuate these terrible acts upon us and we are left to simply rationalize and justify it. To me, assuming he existed, god is the enemy of man. As the gist of the religion is serve me or die...
