It should be self evident when the "atheist" asks you about Allah. If they don't ask then you don't even need to think about it because you shouldn't do it.

You should be careful because the "atheist" may follow the golden rule and see this as an invitation to do unto you and tell you why you shouldn't believe in Allah.

They've probably already heard of Allah.....

Seriously though, unless they're asking questions, let them believe what they want to. Maybe they will return the same respect to you.

Why would you tell them about him. Leave them alone. Let everybody believe whatever they want. If you tell them and reject him, they go to hell. If they don't know about him at all and they are good humans and they die without knowing about him, they may go to heaven. So don't drag them to hell.
I think it is full already and no surprise, most of those in hell are muslims
[Quran 2:256] "THERE SHALL BE NO COMPULSION IN RELIGION...".

you can't directly start at Allah.

first you have to start with the conflicts of science and religion, and help them realize that without god there would not be an alpha or omega (beginning and end), becuase even science can't prove that.

next, talk about faith and spirituality in general.

and then talk about the history. how the 3 major monothiestic religions of the world originated.
Judaism: Abraham and the covenant, Moses renewing the covenant.
Christianity: remember Christianty originates directly from judaism and started AFTER the crucifixion of Jesus, and resurrection.
ISLAM: comes directly from christianity, however contains more direct traits of judaism. same timeline but starts from mohommad pbuh..

good luckkkkk!

P.S. god is not to be feared..... as most ppl think.
yu need to beleive in a loving god. not one who's going to send you to hell even when you ask for forgiveness.

you dont. when we people understand that others arent looking to be converted? they've probably heard it a million times and it just makes things worse between you and the other person. i ask you one thing before reporting this answer, how whould you feel if someone tried to explain or convert you to worshipping the pagan gods and goddesses? honestly, i know you wouldnt react very happily.

)o(

edit : used paganism as an example because its my religion. no offense to others.

First, find an "athiest." Let me know if you can locate an "athiest." I would be interested in meeting an "athiest." If you can't find and "athiest," perhaps you can find someone who's just a bit "athier" than most, or even someone who's just plain "athy."

1) Leave them alone and respect the fact that they have come to a decision that is different than yours.
2) Repeat step one.

How would you feel if atheists woke you up at eight in the morning to talk to you about Darwin?
But they don't do that, now do they?

Why bother?

We already know why Allah doesn't exist.
