a) What is your religion?
b) Have you ever killed someone, or been responsible for someone's death?
c) If so, do you regret it, and why; if not, under what conditions would you consider killing someone acceptable; such as if they have killed someone, committed a certain crime, etc.?

Today, upon noticing a nearby police officer, someone suddenly became nervous. He was asked by a friend of mine, "Why are you so worried? Have you killed someone?" Though he was just joking around, and laughed as he said it, the other person was shocked. He said, "Of course not! I'm a Christian!" This launched a discussion, in which this person argued that Christians would never kill, and if they did, they would regret it, whereas atheists would kill, and would never regret it. So, I'm curious as to whether there is, in fact, any correlation.

Where can the Light be found?

What if.....

You're wrong about the existence of God?
I don't care about the "if he doesn't prove himself..." junk... what if you are wrong, period?

If I'm wrong, and there is no God, then I just die, and that's the end, I've enjoyed my life as I've lived it with a very, very clear conscience. But if YOU are wrong, you'll spend and eternity in the flames of hell...
Whatcha think?

God had sent Jesus to forgive sins, but after his resurrection Jesus told the apostles, "‘As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.’ And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained’" (John 20:21-23). This is the establishment of the Sacrament of Penance (Confession).

Christ told the apostles: "As the Father has sent me, even so I send you" (John 20:21). Just as the apostles were to carry Christ’s message to the whole world, so they were to carry his forgiveness: "Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven" (Matt. 18:18). This power was understood as coming from God: "All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation" (2 Cor. 5:18), "So we are ambassadors for Christ" (2 Cor. 5:20)

Here's my situation: About a month ago, my boyfriend told me that in the past he has watched porn and masturbated but he really wanted to quit. He has already taken some steps such as getting rid of the Internet so he couldn't look at it on there and reading books about sex addiction. When he told me, he brought it up even though he could have hid it from me (we don't live together or anything so I probably wouldn't have known.) I was completely disgusted, as he expected I would be and I had a really hard time with it. He destroyed all of the porn that he had. I was torn about what to do. One thing you have to know is that I'm a virgin and am waiting til I'm married. He completely respects my decision and has been so wonderful about it. I can't help but think that God put us together for a reason, maybe to help him through this. He said he can feel himself changing for the better. Did I do the right thing, as a Christian, by sticking with him?

My prayer is that all people would know what it is to love and be truly loved. I also pray that those going through life's difficult trials would find comfort and hope in knowing that someone cares and will always be there for them.

That's really sappy, I know, but that's just how I feel. :)))

Have a wonderful day!

Just a thought ive had for awhile.We all know the account of the angels who came to earth before the days of Noah to sleep with earthly women.We also know that they had sons...Nephilum...or however its spelled.
These sons were destroyed by the great flood ...this is true...but is it possible that through the bloodline of Noahs wife(whos lineage is unknown)that she could have been related to one of these Demons?Its a strech I know,but it seems plausible to me.Any opinions?...and we already know what the Atheist's will say...

I mean, when he told Moses "I am what I am", I can't help thinking that Popeye's mantra "I am what I am , and I aint no more" can't be merely coincidence, can it?

Just a few questions to Mormons. I’m just trying to understand your reasoning about the things below. Also if the Bible’s teachings conflict with the Book of Mormon, which one do you believe? The Bible or the Book of Mormons?

Thanks a lot.

“God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted Man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens,” stated Joseph Smith. “You have got to learn how to be Gods yourselves, . . . the same as all Gods have done before you.” Mormon prophet Lorenzo Snow said: “As man now is, God once was; as God now is, man may become.”

Says the LDS magazine Ensign: “We look upon what Adam and Eve did with great appreciation rather than with disdain.”

Adam: Jesus’ helper in the creation. Brigham Young stated: “Our father Adam came into the garden of Eden . . . and brought Eve, one of his wives. . . . He is our Father and our God.” (Journal of Discourses, Volume I, page 50, 1854 Edition) After his sin, Adam became earth’s first Christian. (The Pearl of

bible come first, before a man, before a church, before a preacher. bible tells us so.)

I have read the bible completely many times. The Bible states the Church came before the bible did. Am I wrong? Where in the bible does it say the bible came before the church or man or preacher?

I mean,
think about it,
i can't even remember a conversation word for word
that i had yesterday...
how is someone gonna record years and years of
conversations and events into a book and call it a bible?

And another thing,
no one can say for sure whether heaven or hell exsists.
I know there are psycho mother ******* who go around
saying that they
"have seen the light"

when science has actually proved thats is a chemical
reaction in your brains frontal lobes
before a body is no longer sending signals through out the body
with orders.

And im a "gotta prove it" to me kinda person.
And i wouldnt be ranting as much if i didnt waist
my ignorant youth on believing a fictional god.

Im sorry if i offended anyone with this..it really wasnt my intent.

I see this number thrown around constant. However I have never seen one person give any proof. For instance a list of them all. Or is this a number someone made up just for shocks sake? Most protestants fall into one of the following descriptions. This is not a list of 33,000. So where does the 33,000 come from? Is it just Catholic propaganda?

* Adventists
* Anabaptist
* Anglican / Episcopalian
* Baptist
* Calvinist
* Charismatic
* Congregational
* Gospel Hall Brethren
* Lutheran
* Methodist / Wesleyan
* Non-denominational
* Pentecostal
* Presbyterian
* Quakerism
* Reformed
* Restoration movement
* Unitarian

Why would God want us to come to him becasue of fear of eternal suffering? I seek religion for inner peace. Does that make me selfish? I feel like every answer, when it comes to religion, just creates more questions. End the maddness!!!

I have a question for everybody.
All of us look forward to something that is the *ultimate* in the future sort of like that vacation you always wanted.

What I look forward to is not doom and gloom but the promise of a perfect exsistence Jesus promises his flock.
To live without one worry
Sickness and Death
violence or strife of any kind
Financial burdens
To live with others in complete harmony to see everyone you once knew again, to experience GOD's Kingdom for eternity.

To walk with Jesus and ask him an abundant of questions, and if we are able to cook, I would ask Jesus if he would come over for dinner as I would want to prepare him a feast for a King..:)
You?
