There are many Gods and we are reincarnated with rest in the summer land between lifetimes.

For me...fear.
The thought of an afterlife would mean that my existence would be without end. The thought of God would mean how that endless existence is spent. I am agnostic and have such terrible thoughts about these two topics alone; God and the hereafter.
I can induce a panic attack by thinking about 'eternity'. No end, just an ongoing conciousness that makes me feel like I am crazy because I also fear nonexistence. There's no middle ground for me :\ To have there be nothing happen when I die is scary. To never STOP existing, be it in a wonderful afterlife or a horrible one, is scary.
But yeah, those are my opinions. :P

Afterlife has to become cos one of the proofs is following "Look at these innumerable and peerless jewels that are displayed here, these unparalleled dishes laid out like a banquet! They demonstrate that the ruler of these lands is possessed of infinite generosity and an inexhaustible treasury. Now such generosity and such a treasury deserve and require a bounteous display that should be eternal and include all possible objects of desire. They further require that all who come as guests to partake of that display should be there eternally and not suffer the pain of death and separation. For just as the cessation of pain is pleasurable, so too is the cessation of pleasure painful! This flawless hidden perfection requires one who will appreciate and admire it, who will gaze on it exclaiming, thus displaying it and making it known"

I believe in God and the afterlife. However, we will all find out what is the truth. I for one can't wait.
What's up with the thumbs down? If what I believe is correct, nothing in this life can compare it how wonderful it will be. If what I believe is wrong, who cares? Either way I win! Just thinking about it is so exciting! Hope beyond the grave is the core of the Christian life.

I believe we all have individual spirits, that can leave the body in sleep, enter the spiritual realm, and return before we wake. Dreams can seem really real for a reason. Reincarnation results, when you don't have a live body to return to, and must search for the right fresh body for your purposes. Life has cycles. Reincarnation of the continuous type, keeps us in this reality of this universe, and allows for no escape to an alternative reality type afterlife. Individual spirits need to have a unity factor, to connect them together, and to the universe, and to give them common focus on a common reality. God is that universal uniting spirit of harmony and creativity, that holds the universe together to a degree, and hold us together to various degrees. The struggle of reality brings out the most in the human spirit. Those who struggle to contribute positively to addressing the problems of this world, will grow strong spiritually, which will serve them well in their future lives. God can guide us and inspire us, if we keep tuned in to his universal energy.

There is probably a higher power out there somewhere, and I think that there is something after death, but I don't think that any religion is worth following.
They assume that they know everything, and have the afterlife pinned down.
There is definitely something better than us in the universe, but as to what it is no one can be sure.

i don't know if i believe in them or not, i mean i want to believe there is an after life, cause its a whole lot less scary than the alternative. i am more conserned with the here and now. i want to live my life to the fullest with few regrets and i will deal with the afterlife when i get there.

I worry about my life. God and the afterlife will be there when I die. If I speculate now, it won't matter when I find out the truth.

you can never die, remember energy cannot be created or destroyed, it merely changes form. you have always existed, you exist and you will continue to exist. forget about all the religious nonsense. the combination of all the energy in different forms and in different dimensions is what people have regarded as god i.e. the sum total of its parts. in what is referred to the afterlife is merely another form of the energy which is you.

I don't believe God is a corporeal being who sits on a throne and judges people. I believe God is spirit and Heaven is a spiritual level which we can attain. Once we do attain that spiritual level we are permitted to co-create with God. We never become God but can co-create with Him. Whether we realize it or not, we are co-creating with God right here on Earth.

Yes, I do believe in God. And even if i will not believe the God exits.
Afterlife is a reality and everyone will find it whether they believe or not.
