Baby born into a non christian family, grows up doing exactly what she is told by her family, She wants to help people, joins charities, becomes a nurse, adopts children, never commits a crime, Dies of old age, and goes to hell.

Is that right? Is that OK?

First of all, I'm gay and I'm 14. Except for my parents, my entire family is Christian. Ever since I was young, I heard them talking about how anyone who isn't Christian will go to hell, how gays will go to hell and how practically everone besides Christians will got to hell, no matter how good or bad that person is.
For instance, one of my best friends(Shes 50 years old and is a Budhist), she is one of the most caring and kind-hearted person I know. Everyone likes her, but because she is Budhist, my family says she will got to hell. I personally think this is just idiotic.
But mainly, I want to ask why homosexuals are hated. My boyfriend ist he sweetest person ever, and I don't know why Christians can't accept a person jsut because of their sexual preference. So what if I like guys, not girls? If Christians are really all loving, they would accept everyone, but from what I see, its all just a big lie.
I know lots of Christians are going to flame me, but I really want awnsers. Thx

My husband and I are having a problem with these Jehovah's Witness's. The first time they (2 of them) showed up was a few months ago (beginning of summer) and my husband answered the door. My husband is Catholic and told them so and the one guy actually wanted to respect that and leave and go onto the next apt. The other is an older man, probably in his 70s, and would not take no for an answer for almost a half hour.

We didn't see them again for maybe 2, 3 months but recently, just the old man has been showing up at our door and he's done it 5 times since September. Last week he was here twice! He only does it to our apt too. I've actually watched this guy drive to our building, and knock on our door only. Last time he was here, I watched him get back in his car and point at our door like he was mad we wouldn't open it.

My question is...is he harassing us? He's been here 6 times since the beginning of summer, I think its a little much and I don't know who to go to. :(

atheism bases it values and or morality on what is socially acceptable at the time...lets say murder...right now it isn't socially acceptable to do it...but lets say in 100 years it is accepted...what about lying...50 years ago it was frowned upon to lie to anyone about anything because lying is wrong...but over the course of time it has become PC to lie in order not hurt feelings...has that progressed our society or regressed our society...

I Corinthians 11:8-9 "For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man."
The Bible's decree of male supremacy has kept woman inferior to men for centuries. For the religious, it comes as a sad fact that a human must have a penis to receive any respect or power within the Church.
All woman should realize that such phrases in the Bible has justified for many Christian men, not only their supremacy but a reason to sexually abuse women. (See also I Cor. 14:34-36, I Timothy 2:8-15, I Peter 3:1-7, Ephesians 5:22-24, Col. 3:18-19)

I ask that you Endure me and my rather unconventional ideas...but Have you ever considered that maybe God was the 'Evil' One, and Satan was a type of modern day Prometheus.

My logic is this, the bible--the main source of info for believers, is claimed as "God's word", hence this is "HIS" side of the story. But we all know that to truly evaluate and judge a story we must hear BOTH sides of the story.
God frames the situation and 'claims' that Satan was rebellious, disobeyed, and was therefore expelled from heaven...

Maybe we should consider Satan's side, in heaven he was basically a slave, forced into servitude by a Tyrant known as God. Satan had no 'free-will', he had to obey god or be destroyed, tired of that pointless existence he decided to lead a revolt --similar to the American Revolution when they were being oppressed by the monarchy of Britain.
Maybe history should rewrite Satan as a hero, and God as a Oppressive Tyrant that demanded absolute slaves.

I've noticed a lot of arguments back and forth today about whether or not Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Catholics, etc. are Christians. Saying what a thing is not, however, implies something that it is. So, what is the definition of a Christian that enables one to make judgments about whether or not someone else is actually a Christian? Obviously the line gets drawn somewhere - a Buddhist is not a Christian, for example - but where, and how?

body feels run down and I feel so tired. This life has taken a toll on me, and my body just cannot go on. I long for the rapture soon. Are you curious to find out what comes of this up and coming peace conference hosted by Bush? I am certainly interested in that. Are you looking forward to going home too? I am on antibiotics now, and I hope they help. I find each time I catch public transport I end up sick. I guess most people make me sick litterally. So I find it hard to go out anywhere now becasue I end up catching a virus and have to go on antibiotics to help get rid of the infection. Chrisitians I need your prayers that I get better, and that I have a closer walk with God. sometimes I worry about my salvation. I know I need to thihe more, but I am on a disability support pension and I cannot affort much at all. I hope God understands this. Christians I need your prayers. Thank you.
