Nothing will happen. Anyone who's taken an in depth world history class and actually studied the Mayans would know that December 21, 2012 is a fabrication. The Mayans did not view this day as doomsday, moreover they saw it as a day of celebration in that the world would embark on a new golden age and the current way of life would be changed. Technology will not betray man, nor will the Antichrist come, its all theory. As for solar storms, thats up for speculation.

I do think that the Mayans were extremely accurate in the constellation records that were found. Strange that the "Wise men" of the Bible were "Astrologers" from the East, where "HIStory" began, and the Mayans are "astrologers" from the West,...where the Ending may be?...
Even though the events of the Mayan calendar say that 12-12-2012 is the "end"..it just means that we have "come FULL circle. I did note that it IS interesting that 12 in Biblical terms is a number of completion.
God does say that the Heavens were created for "signs and wonders" and the "Heavens" do move like a percision "time-piece".
Hummm....will be interesting to see whatever happens?!
For me...I say "Maranatha!"

According to what I read, that date does not necessarily mean the end of the world, it can be meant to be a change occurring to our planet, not to mention there are many psychics who have claimed to have visions of us humans beyond the year 2012, including Nostradamus who had visions of us until the year 3000 something.

As far as that goes, I don't believe it's the end of the world, besides, many people neglect to remember the Bubonic Plague which effectively wiped out about 60 percent of the British population, and we, as a species, survived beyond that tragidy.

"Truth" Did you know that "Western" style calanders are 4 years out? So 2012 is really 2008. What a shame for all of you who celebrated the millenium 4 years too late!

I think that it will occur between Dec. 20, 2012 and Dec. 22, 2012.

Remember what the Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:2 "For you yourselves know quite well that Jehovah's day is coming exactly as a thief in the night." Which in terms means that only God himself knows when the "time of the end" will be upon mankind!

Due to errors in the various calendars over the centuries, it is either 2011 or 2012 right now.

All kinds of predictions, when Jesus was here in the flesh, Jesus said the Son does not even know the hour, I believe there is quite a bit to happen yet, by prophesies, but we should be prepared because even if the world isn't right there yet, who is to say we won't be killed by something else tomorrow, are you ready for God, Jesus said to be prepared.

i think we shouldn't worry quite so much about it. if you're a christian, and you want to ''be prepared,'' you should simply do the known will of God. spreading paranoia doesn't help anything. although... a friend of mine came up with a really good theory from prophetic ''days'' in the book of daniel, and she ended up having the same date as the mayan calendar: 2012.

The Mayans practiced slavery, human sacrifice, child marriage and were afraid of the wheel. This makes me skeptical when people talk about their great wisdom.
