I think the Universe itself is God, and it is our role to tend to it and to fill it with life, beauty, and art--things that only sentient creative beings can do. I think that's our purpose. I think that religion has blinded us from our purpose and has kept us infants in this world for far too long.

Yes, I do. Christ says He is the head & we're the body. If Christ is spirit I see those who believe in Him like cells of the body. Each has separate functions. But all must work properly for everything to work right.

Religion is man's efforts to understand & reach God. Christ is God's effort to reach man. He said those who would believe would come from every, nation, tribe & tongue. Considering until very recent history there were tribes & tongues unknown how else would they know of Him except through the soul (mind) or spirit?

Man was the only created being that came to life from having the breath of God blown in him. Why else would man always feel something was missing when nothing else does? He uses religion to soothe his conscience, justify his actions, etc. Sometimes he even deceives himself into believing what he really doesn't. But when you've been touched by God (instead of religion or religious services) that longing for something missing is finally satisfied.

No. Religion is merely a thought construct. Do I think we're connected to the universe? Yes I do.

Every living thing is connected to each other and to the universe. There is proof that even plants can read the mind of human beings.

You see the Truth in the Universe and if some faith teaches it ,it does not mean it is the link to it. If a scientist tells you how carbon cycle works, it does not mean he or his knowledge is the link between the nature.

I think nature is how we got here. I guess if you change the word "religion" to "spiritual" I would agree.

Religion is what we use when we run out of scientific answers and depend on a leap of faith.
