I just get the feeling, and I appreciate this is a generalisation, that Christians don't respect other peoples right not to believe.

Generally I think 3 is the average. Is that some sort of mystic connection to the trinity?

I know not all do this 3 times, some do the standup/sitdown combo more than that for extra spiritual umphf.

It seems that many of you think you are experts on fundamental Christianity, but you are actually using it as a catch phrase for anything you believe is backward. So would you please state what you believe are the doctrines of fundamental Christians.

I need a quote from scripture to use when I forbid my wife to see a new friend she made recently. This woman has moved to our neighborhood recently and I do not approve of either her or her husband. I believe they are Jewish. Anyway, I know the Bible says I have to right to forbid her to see this woman, but I am not really up on my quotes, so I am hoping another decent Christian man out there can help me, perhaps one who also had to deal with a disobedient wife.

So I am going to say that HIJAB is a CHOICE and not forced by men- in ISLAM. It is the choice of the woman to wear it or not.

Should I mention that it is a choice AND IT IS IN THE QURAN, holy book for MUSLIMS?

What I need help with is to WHAT TO WRITE in the editorial and how to make it sound nice? Like i do not want people to think I am throwing it in their faces and am mad or anything like that.

I Just want to express my opinion- but in a nice way.

P.S. My teacher said this is the first time they have ever had an editorial piece on headscarf issues !!! CoOL!!

Help would be helpful...lol

peace

I believe volunteering and serving other people should be a very high priority, and collecting material things should be a very low priority . How can I raise my son to make volunteering and serving other people a priority, and to make material things a very low priority ?

then he certainly could have had books we call the bible written by men and pawned them off as being written by God so that people who didn't follow the true way of (fill in the blank_____) would burn in hell. You have to agree if you admit him the power to do the one, then putting a book together should be childs play for him.

Isn't it true, that non-believers will go to Hell?

Isn't it true that God says He will destroy Hell?

Isn't Hell a place of destruction and the Lake of Fire, does it not CONSUME?

Isn't the Bible Gospel story a literal unbelievable one, with miracles, etc that really, we do not see today?

If people actually followed the Bible in terms of sex, would you say the world would be better overall?

People would be having lots and lots of hot dirty sex...but with only one partner, who has only been with them. That would be their spouse.

Therefore, great sex, and no:

-Teenage mothers and all the problems that go with that.
-No STI's/STD's
-No AIDS, which is wasting far too much money (billions!) for a 100% preventable disease (excluding rare exceptions like AIDS via a blood transfusion and rape, etc.). But remember, we wouldn't have the disease to begin with. Does anyone else see it as insane to spend billions on a preventable disease when it can be prevented by closing your legs?
-No unwanted children
-Your future children have no risk to be exposed to STI's.
-Better self esteem in many cases
-No regrets that one wishes they could take back (that girl you got it on with in the dirty bar bathroom perhaps?)
-A "gift" that is shared only with your future spouse.

when it comes to "Judging others?" Jesus tells you not to. In 2 places Luke 7:1-2 >> Matthew 6:37-38

I think he has healed more people than what is recorded of Jesus. Do you think he is the real deal or what?

I live in India and was raised Hindu. I visited America about four years ago and someone told me that I would go to Hell if I didn't believe this story he was about to tell me.

He made me scared, so I listened. He told me about Jesus and the Bible. I had never heard of the things he spoke of, but I held them close to my heart.

I kept up correspondence with him and for four years, I have prayed, read the Bible three times, even fasted and prayed for the Holy Spirit and listened for God.

But, honestly, the whole thing just doesn't feel right. All thosew stories from the Bible are just legends, much like our own ancient myths in India.

Why would God expect me to believe this one is a true account? Honestly, I feel no reason at all in my intellect, or in my heart to believe these familiar myths.

This religion seems silly to me and my friends, yet my American friends say I will go to Hell?

None of this seems right at all. You must believe something unbelievable to go to heaven?
