Does a clone have a soul? Could a clone go to heaven? Do animals have souls? Do animals go to heaven? If so.. would my dog Susie go to heaven? If not.. animals have souls also but only humans can go too heaven? If animals dont go too heaven then that means if you believe in God but you think God made us evolve from monkeys..then your wrong because we would be animals.. hence we would not go too heaven.(i forgot the name of that belief.. is it agnostic?)

I mean, many people do it, but I don't really think they mean what it implies. If they say "J**** C*****!" in a an exclamation, I don't think they really mean for God to put a curse on the person/object it is aimed at. Its just a name that they happen to exclaim. For example, with the exclamation "For Pete's sake!" the person isn't calling on the other person/thing to do the deed for the sake of Pete, they just happen to be exclaiming that. On the other hand, in the bible it does say not to take the name of the Lord in vain, but if, when you are saying the name, you don't actually mean for God to curse the people, are you actually taking the Lord's name in vain? Or does it not make a difference as to why you are saying the God's name?

Just kind of curious how many on here believe this. Please don't debate it, just state whether you believe it or not and denomination.

You know - attempting to live to high principles with the inevitability of failure?

Do atheists have someone who will let them off their hypocritical failings though?

[Any level 2 atheists wanting to accuse me of atheist bashing, please check my points and previous questions before getting too hot under the collar.]

How many of you think Christians are just religious fanatics? well, think again....you couldn't be farther from the truth...

Born again Christians don't live by relegion. Infact, we don't aspire to be religious we pray constantly that we don't become religious. What we have is a meaningful everlasting relationship with the true and living God of Heaven and Earth. We don't need to express our love to God with rituals or outward practices or routines. We express our love to God in spirit and in truth. We express our love from the inside out not the other way around. ok...peace and God bless..

I know some people believe in the gods from ancient civilizations. I am not exactly sure how you pray or summon them But what I want to know is are your gods fickle? And if they are how do you stay on their good side? Would they turn on you? How would you "protect" yourself? I am really curious and that is why I am asking.

I was furious with my first husband once and I lit candles, did an impromtou incantation and put a spell on him. I didn't tell him about it and a couple days later he was asking me what was wrong with him and to take the spell off. He was in pain and didn't know what was wrong.
Can our severe anger really come from another realm and be turned on someone or do some people have untapped powers?
I have also dreamed of my children while I was pregnant with them and they looked the same as I dreamed. My Mom and Dad said some of my ancestors had those abilities.
Seems like a good question before Halloween!!!!

When I close my eyes at night, not sleeping but just trying to relax sometimes I see what is going to come to me, good things...And other times like last night I see evil looking creatures and demons...I am confused cuz I prayed so much last night and I asked jesus to watch over me...I am a new christian, does this mean I'm not really saved? It's as if the devil is trying to tell me he's still here, tryin to scare me and tell me I can't have god. I don't watch a lot of scary movies or anything. like last night I saw this image of hands holding onto each other, and then I saw this guy kneeling by my head and I felt a pain in my hand, I retracted my hand and got scared and then I saw like creatures reaching out to me.

A spirit came to me in the night and told me not to be afraid and that Satan had a purpose for me. Recently the stream that runs past our house started to run with blood and I can now turn my head 360 degrees, should I take a test?

1 Cor 7:6-7

But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.
For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.

1 Cor 7:12-16

But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.
And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.
For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.
But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.
For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?

Why would God be upset about greenhouse gases?

Is it because they cause global warming?

I mean you guys act like its blasphemy or profanity in how jumpy you get.

Should we all spell it ATHIEST just to upset them? I mean they always talk about how the Bible is a fairy tale, how God is a delusion, how they wish an end to faith, how religion is responsible for every war of mankind... but when someone puts an i before an e in atheist they freak out. Do you think if every theist in the world wrote "athiest" at the same time their heads would pop?

Now this will probably be reported because I made fun of the holy word "atheist", but this question being deleted would just be proof of their vanity. I mean people always misspell Gandhi (Ghandi), Buddha (Bhudda), Christian (Chistian, Cristian, etc) but no one gets so jumpy about it as atheists do. Its not even a religion or the name of a reverend person but they act like it is profanity of some kind. So many atheists are very disrespectful toward religion while we just make a little spelling error - big deal.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but if you talk to a Christian about the fear involved with the Christian indoctrination process, they automatically think you’re talking about the fear of hell. They’re quick to deny that they use the fear of hell to indoctrinate their children. But that’s only one method that Christians have for creating fear in the minds of their children and there is a plethora of others.

The most obvious to me is the very symbol behind which Christians have rallied for the last 2000 years – the cross. Is not the cross a device used to slowly and painfully, torture people to death? Why is it so freakin’ obvious to me that this is to create fear in the minds of the vulnerable but not to Christians?

as catholics, are we allowed to go to parties where there's drinking and dancing? i think if you don't drink too much, or do anything innapropriate, then it's ok. i think in the bible it says you cant go to gatherings where there's drinking, but cmon, thats like impossible, right? so, would it be a sin if we went to a party like this?

I'm looking for a psychic (preferably a clairvoyant) in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area that isn't full of crap. My friend and are curious and would like to check one out for fun (and who knows, maybe we'll learn something!) If anyone knows of one, could you please give me the name of them/their buisness, a telephone number or website, and any other information you think I'd find useful? Thanks =)

On the last day? I Thess 4:166: "For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first."

Or at the hour of a Christian's death? Luke 20:38: "He is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for to him all are alive."

Note that Moses and Elijah were living at the Transfiguration, and Jesus told the crucified robber, "Today you will be with me in Paradise."

I have been raised by my catholic family and majority of the time relate to other catholics like they are part of my immediate family and love my strong connection with my religous community. However for many years the men I have felt deep connections with and dated have been Jewish. Not entirely sure why this is? Is it connected to the fact that my views on religon tend to conflict with some teachings and popular belief and have been told that they are more in line with jewish beliefs or for some other reason?
