I have been raised by my catholic family and majority of the time relate to other catholics like they are part of my immediate family and love my strong connection with my religous community. However for many years the men I have felt deep connections with and dated have been Jewish. Not entirely sure why this is? Is it connected to the fact that my views on religon tend to conflict with some teachings and popular belief and have been told that they are more in line with jewish beliefs or for some other reason?

Catholicism is closely related to Judaism.

The Catholic Church officially teaches:

When she delves into her own mystery, the Church, the People of God in the New Covenant, discovers her link with the Jewish People, "the first to hear the Word of God.

The Jewish faith, unlike other non-Christian religions, is already a response to God's revelation in the Old Covenant.

To the Jews "belong the sonship, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises; to them belong the patriarchs, and of their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ"; "for the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable."

Neither all Jews indiscriminately at that time, nor Jews today, can be charged with the crimes committed during the Passion of Jesus Christ. The Jews should not be spoken of as rejected or accursed as if this followed from Holy Scripture.

For more information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, sections 597 and 839:

With love in Christ.

Both faiths are wonderful, and have wonderful aspects and traditions.
You may be attracted to these men because to their credit, many Jewish men know and live their faith well. They can discuss it and are connected to it, and to be honest that is not typically the case with Catholic men. You may value a spiritual relationship and little more faith maturity.
Having said that - I will also say that becoming involved in a relationship with someone of a different faith in a serious relationship can lead to difficulties. When things become settled, like in a marriage, your core beliefs will be different - and it can be a divisive situation ( I know, I had a "mixed" marriage). You love Jesus and want to learn about him, but your partner does not...
Before you become involved seriously consider what your beliefs are and seek someone who is aligned with them. It is sooo important if it is important to you. Also consider - why would you begin something that cannot be finished (i.e. marriage) - not fair to you or the partner.

Catholicism and Judaism tend to be alot more cultural than religious. I am always hard pressed to come across a Catholic or a Jew for that matter that truly live what their religion dicatates. With that said, because most do not hold hard and fast views they can more easily assimilate to one another. Much like people of no religion or those who believe that God is the same througout all religions.

I am of Jewish heritage though not practicing now...I believe that you remember that Jesus was a Jew and hence your connection to Jewish men. FYI, if I were you I'd seriously look at your faith and evaluate...Religion is a choice and you don't have to be Catholic just because you were brought up in that tradition. You're free to choose your own spiritual path and it seems to me that's something you should explore. PEACE!

I have heard of many things within Catholic faith that are very oddly similar to Judaism. I am not saying ritual etc but idiosyncrasies.

I have seen this with Italians and some Irish women as well. I can't figure out why. Maybe I'll do a study on it some day.

Common origin.
Most of the stories we read in church from the old testament are taken from the story of the Jewish people.

For the Jewish people to think even for a moment that the catholic church is their friend, you have been played for an all day sucker.

The vatican HATES the Jewish people!

If they're really Jewish, meaning they live by the book, then wouldn't they be dating other Jews?

Maybe you have a Jew fetish. If so, don't be alarmed. The majority of Jewish dudes I've known were perfectly into Gentile tail.
