There's a debate going on in another forum about whether corporal punishment is "normal" among JWs. Would appreciate your comments.

What if some of the people on here that we used to know and love haven't been back because they died?

That's kind of creepy.

Thoughts?

than where do these visions of ghosts and spirits derive from? Why are they roaming? There are so many historical and modern accounts of these instances where phenomena has occured and I personally don't buy the "oh there just crazy" theory. There are spirits out and about.........your thoughts.

Ofcourse this question is only for believers in God and spirits so if you can help it and restrain yourself, please no silly retorts.

I am aware of the passages in Leveticus. Don't bother quoting that to me.

I'd like something a bit deeper than: "It's an abomination!"
Why should this bother a being of infinite power?
Why should it bother you, what your neighbour is doing in the privacy of his home?
With all the suffering in the world, why should it matter at all?

how is it that you're christian at all?

almost every bit of christianity stems from paganism, including the story of jesus.

it makes me think about people who have an ancestor of a different race, who are slightly racist and want to deny their roots, but when it come right down to it, they can't.

People, in defense for homosexuality, are constantly talking about how it could NOT be a choice because of the persecution they endure. And they say..."Who in their RIGHT MIND would purposely choose a lifestyle that allows them to be persecuted....." Here is a quote from a fellow Yahoo user :

"why would someone CHOSE a lifestyle that causes them to be discriminated against, risk being a victim of a violent hate crime, and ostracize themselves from their family and/or loved ones?"
I found that to be interesting. What do you believe about Christians who choose to follow Christ, and endure a life of persecution? Because apparently, they don't have to be persecuted if they weren't to live the life they choose.
Of course we know that Christianity is a choice. And nothing is forced on anyone. Christianity is a choice....just like any other lifestyle (including homosexuality) is. If someone can say I make the choice to NOT live a life of sin. Clearly, living one OF sin..is also a choice.

A party of religious fanatics is nothing to be proud of. And how many of you voting Republican would be strung up by those controlling the party if they decided that, say, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons or Catholics weren't okay?
Are you understanding yet? THERE IS NO PARTY OF FISCAL CONSERVATISM ANYMORE, but there is one of social fascism, and its letters are GOP.
