What if some of the people on here that we used to know and love haven't been back because they died?

That's kind of creepy.

Thoughts?

Yeah... I've thought of that.

It is creepy.

But it's the nature of the internet.

Yeah... I vaguely remember there being rumours that someone had faked their own death. She hasn't been back. I was pretty disappointed in that individual.

Weird that I should be think of that same thing just last night. Not really creepy though, everyone dies eventually. I often like to say "Life happens and then you die" Some think I am morbid for that but I think I am just realistic. I am not sure I would want anyone to get onto my accounts and tell everyone, I would just like everyone to assume that I had finally overcome my addiction to YA! :-)

Some people are really well connected with their contacts and know what is going on. I was actually trying to support a young girl who was suffering from anorexia (I'm recovered eating disorder survivor) when I got a note from her mother saying that she had committed suicide. I would never have known had it not been for this poor mother. I don't know. I think it would be very sad. I wish everyone well. Peace and sweetness in your lives!

don't forget, some of them just say they are dying, but not really. I thought about this before, like if I died , should I have my wife come on and tell someone?, I thnk the answer is no, because why bring people down, or in the fundies case, why make them so happy?

>If an R&S regular died, would we ever know about it?

Only if we got contacted by their spirit from the afterlife. In which case we'd all argue whether it really was a divine message or just a hallucination. :P

Nope, I really doubt we would. As others have said, there's been many a case of people FAKING deaths or serious illness on here and just coming back on here as another avatar. It hurts a lot of people and pisses off people when they figure it out.

I'd pass without notice and the thought does not bother me in the least. As for others, I'd wonder about some, not notice others and a few (very few, I'm guessing) would be announced by their R&S friends.

I've thought of that, too.

We have had someone fake their own death, which was not fun. Especially since I remembered them at the Requiem of a Sunday Mass. Not cool.

That could happen... but we would never know. Many folks just reincarnate with new avatar's and such...

Mostly people fake illnesses and such to get attention, in this forum...

I've recognised that it could readily happen. It's not fair is it!

Perhaps we will notice a divergence in the force...lol?
