i asked a question yesterday about some of the observations i have made in my time on R&S http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ag918mrkcjO680yT3e.GdbggBgx.;_ylv=3?qid=20071018140656AAlyqAe and this came up. how can you respect only part of someone? surely that is saying i don't like you, but i will pretend to, as you may be useful to me later.

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. - Galatians 2:16 KJV.

I seem to be confusing a lot of people lately with what I'm trying to say. Let's set the record straight: what is your current relationship status? No I'm not trying to find a date. Just curious.

I'm personally in a long term commitment.

Before you attack me and think I am against Christianity - back off. I am a born-again Christian who has been studying roman catholicism and its pagan roots along with pagan roots of holidays that most of us celebrate. The Bible says that we, as Christians, are to be separate from 'the world'. Before you attack me on that phrase, i do not mean we are not to associate with unbelievers. What i MEAN is that we are called to different lives, to higher purposes, to a walk that is distinct and set apart. We are called to different lives, to higher purposes, to a walk that is distinct and set apart.

Did you have to believe in God to experience him?

Or did you experience him which caused you to believe in him?

Dan Barker or Richard Dawkins? Perhaps prominent is an ambigous term in this context. Who do like more. It seems like people are always talking about Dawkins but I find Barker`s arguements to be much more articulate and substantive.

If we took everything in the Bible literlly, wouldn't Peter have been a rock who was actually the foundation of the church? If so, how can we ingest God's blood and body?

What sense???

Or was he created WITH love already in him?

If he DID create LOVE, it means that once he was WITHOUT love....

If he did not create LOVE, then he DID NOT create ALL THINGS...

What do you say?

There were times when I had my job for 10 years that when people were mean to me to my face I would be very aplogetic and constantly say sorry and I would just be nice to aviod conflict. I was very afraid to speak up to people for fear I would get treated with more hostility. There were a couple of times I firmly spoke up and it got some people to back off. Christians I have a question what does it mean to "be nice" Does the Bible ever say to be "nice"? And what are good ways to deal with hard to please, difficult. dogmatic, demaning and gossipy people without comprmising my faith or integrity? Thank you for your answers in advance and God bless you:)

"Behold, I am against you," declares the LORD of hosts; "And I will lift up your skirts over your face, And show to the nations your nakedness
And to the kingdoms your disgrace. "I will throw filth on you And make you vile, And set you up as a spectacle." - Nahum 3:5,6 nasb.

It seems to me that all walks of life have eqaul amounts of "bad charactor", it seems it is easier to name religion because the world puts them in a category spotlight and it is easier for the ego to place blame on religion rather then face their own spiritual paths,Lots of religions and aithiest as well as pagons do not understand a gay person because they do not know the facts and fear promotes their anxiety which promotes anger. Rather then complain that they judge why not set an example and judge no one?

I do not agree with his comments nor do I think they are true. But its a scary world when a scientist, speculating on data he has gathered, is suspended/ostracized for his theories and views like this.

But then again, they did the same thing to scientists hundreds of years ago all in the name or RC instead of PC. (religious correctness)

How could Ethan have known this fact without God having revealed it to Joseph yet? Do you think that he was like the reformers, who "helped get the world ready" for the restoration?

Regarding Israel?
The Palestinians and Israelis are scheduled to meet at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., this November. This major "peace summit" is the brainchild of the Bush administration and is under the supervision of U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

Though most of the world – especially the Arab world – seems dubious about the summit's prospects for success, the United States appears bent on forcing some sort of "peace" upon that troubled region. To do so, Secretary Rice is pressuring Israel to drop all of its redline demands.
According to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, the Palestinians are pressuring Secretary Rice to guarantee that Israel will relinquish sovereignty over the Temple Mount.
Bush and Rice strive to create legacies for themselves – just as most presidents have tried to do with the Middle East conflict for the last 40 years – they not only endanger themselves, but also endanger this nation with the divine curse promised above. Mr. President?
