Both seem like self fulfilling prophecies. We can all choose to be a victim or not. Your actions and dialogue will undoubtedly influence whether or not you`re persecuted.
Plus any prophecy that is 50/50, heads or tails, black/white - is hardly impressive. Especially when you have the power in your hands to make the so called 50/50 chance tip one way or the other based on your actions and dialogue. Not impressive to say the least.

hmmm, not too impressive b/c if you were to start a new religion based on love you've no reason to be persecuted UNLESS your philosophical foundation would not benefit humankind or "blasphemes" others...not all reformations in history were persecuted, not in the Martin Luther sense
