Someone asked a little bit ago,
"Are you an armed and dangerous soldier of Christ?"

So I just thought I'd see how it sounded to them, when changed slightly.

My Mum and Dad are both dead , but all the time they were alive they would not talk about religion. I can remember as a child we never celibrated Christmas. I have been trying to do the family tree and think my Dad's Mum might have been Jewish. How can I find out for sure and if she was does that make me Jewish.

If you claim that the men Transcribing "gods word" made errors, which errors are you referring to? Also if the Bible was Divinely inspiried by God and there are still errors, then how important was it to god to get the message right? I would like to know what you mean when you say that mankind made the errors?

why do Bible-fundamentalists use that incomplete version if they are really seeking for truth to spread to people?

If (hypothetical) the Bible is the inerrant word of God, why was it not set down in some universally understandable language of divine design, or at least in a way that translation and transliteration did not alter or obfuscate the meaning? After all, if it's the word of God and therefore infallible, shouldn't it be much more conducive to universally compatible interpretations instead of the current superfluity of conflicting beliefs based on the various Bibles?

Obviously looking for the Fundamentalist "Bible is the WORD of GAWD" type answers here. I understand it's a work of man.

I see questions over and over again by christians asking people of other sects how they can do what they are doing if the bible didnt say to do it. How do you guys think people believed and worshiped God during Biblical times when there was no Bible? Do you think only the people in the Biblical areas ever had the ability to follow the church of God? I just dont get why you think if it isnt in the Bible there is no possible way it can be right when the Bible isnt as old as the earth and most people couldnt read and write to see other prophetic teachings of those times.

Plus, isnt it possible that your interpretation of the Bible can be wrong? How does quoting the Bible really prove your point if I can turn around with my own interpretation for whatever scripture you are quoting me?

and for that fallable interpretation to be spread to all humankind to follow as truth?

the main point of this question is for Evangelicals to re-think if the 'truth' that they are spreading is really God's truth, or is it only their own interpretation of truth?

i claim i'm agnostic, because it seems to be the least hypocritical religion..but there are some things i dont necessarily agree with. my belief is basically that "we wont ever know the truth, so why bother trying to follow rules by some ruler known as God that no one knows even exists? just live life and have fun." i dont necessarily believe in just science, i think there is some kind of 4D thing we cant comprehend....so is there a title for that?

I believe that being a "Christian" is a way of life based on the teachings of Christ. To strive to be "Christ Like", having faith in the word, knowing and believing that Christ is the Son of God who died and rose for my sins, to have no other God before Him and to love my neighbor as I love myself. If that's being a Christian why are there so many other denominations that call themselves "Christians" slash ________?
I question this because of the answers from my last post:http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ai4eocGfYrzW8fZpRUGEs0zsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071014215354AAepdLs

Hello, I have a quick question on the Dead Sea Scrolls and their relation to the Septuigant and the Masoretic Text.

Do the Dead Sea Scrolls agree more the the Masoretic Text (Hebrew Text) or the Septuigant(greek translation)? I have heard that the DSS has more similarities to the Masoretic text, but am not sure if that is right.

Thanks, ahead of time!

There already is a little gap, but it’s not big enough; I want to drive a big freakin’ wedge between the two so that the creationist morons will be alienated even further and their fanaticism and stark raving madness will be exposed for what it is. Because, right now, they hide their madness behind other more mild mannered Christians and that to me is abhorrent.
