Hinduism: If every birth is a rebirth, and if every life pays for the previous life.............?

The whole problem comes when we say "we". What do you mean by "We". Are you talking about just humans? What makes humans different from the rest of the life forms?It's just consciousness, otherwise, we are just one of the millions of life forms.That is when we talk about earth, what about millions of other planets we might have and the life forms in those zillions of species?
So, Hinduism is the only religion that dares to take up this question at a higher level and tries to give the best possible logical answer.That is why only if you dare to think at that mega level,you need to broaden your perceptions and think at a cosmic scale.Otherwise,the thinking is mired by narrow perceptions which confine ourself to either Israel or Egypt and thoughts like anyone not born there or who is born in the last 2000 years will go to hell unless you believe in a certain prophet.

Roger has excellently answered this question.As he/she rightly says who is that "I"? Who is that "We"? Who is that "you"?I do not know whether he/she has read sri Acarya Sankara's "Bhajagovindam"? if not he/she should read.Very precisely he/she reflects the same idea."Kastwam Koham ,Kutha Aayaatha"= who is that "You"/who is that "I" where that "We" come from?--it is all subjective feelings about things which are Non-Existent(Maaya)--Yaa Maa sa Maaya=theone that does not exist is Maaya.The Universal Soul(Brahmam) alone is Reality(Satyam-Chaitanyam/ Kaivalyam) and "Eternal"(Nityam)
.Soull is immanent/all pervasive-It never commits "Sin".Only the material body of "I","You","We".which is "superimposition(Adyaasa) on Soul commits Benevolence(Punyam) or "Sin"(Paapam)--we are NOT "BORN" sinners.The day the material body superimposed on the "Universal Soul",this vicious circle of KARMA (birth,death and re-birth--"Punarapi Jananm-Punarapi maranam,Punarapi Jadaray Sayanam--by Acharya Sankara) started. can we say 65+ million years before?

Hmmm.......okay!lets take d ex of a kid.....wud u know whether the kid is very intelligent before its even born??vre born on this earth n vre given a chance to prove ourelves...when v fail to do so....its a myth that vre born again to fulfill it....!!!!so just like ure born for the first time on this earth to prove ureself.When v end up not being so...vre given another chance.Its wrongly misinterpretd that vre born again as a result of our sins.
