Jesus was and is God. Those scriptures are talking about the second coming of Jesus Christ.

When Jesus says, Behold He is coming quickly is meaning the event , the taking away, meeting the Lord Jesus in the Air, the Rapture. God said I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end of all things. In Revelation it is God pouring out his wrath on all unbelievers. Jesus will come and get the Church, (the Believers), his Saints, this is the Rapture, which will take place just before the seven years of Tribulation, The Wrath of God will be poured out onto all those remaining, that have chosen to not believe and have turned against God.

Both God and Christ are "coming quickly" in the sense that they are both involved in executing judgment at Armageddon.

Of course, the expression "the Alpha and the Omega" is used exclusively with reference to Almighty Jehovah the Father (and no authentic Scripture calls Jesus by this title).

(Revelation 21:5-7) And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” ...And he said to me: “They have come to pass! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To anyone thirsting I will give from the fountain of the water of life free. Anyone conquering will inherit these things, and I shall be his God and he will be my son.

(Revelation 22:13) I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.

Rev 3:11 "I am coming quickly. Keep on holding fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. The one that conquers—I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God"

1Cr 11:3 "and the head of Christ is God."

The head of Jesus is God so the one coming is Jesus.

Also interesting is the message to the congregation in Philadelphia asking them to hold fast to their crown showing they are part of the 144,000 kings where most of the members of Sar´dis are not.

As for Rev 22:6 it reads that it is the Lord Jehovah God that sends his Angel to give the Revelation to John about his Son Jesus.

"And he said unto me, These sayings [are] faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel"

Thus Jehovah God is the A and Z.

Agreed, but Jesus is not a "God far off", but He comes to us
every day. That is one of the problems with God's people, they fail to watch for his appearances while we live in time.

John 14:18, Jesus said, "I will not leave you comfortless: I WILL COME TO YOU", and He does come to us, and the intimacy at those moments, when the bridegroom & bride enter into their secret chamber of the heart, is such special moments. Don't miss those glorious times, when our husband appears, to comfort us as only He can do.

Yes, Jesus will return for His reward. That is something else which God's people too often forget, the reward is for His life, death, and resurrection, not yours. Any work on our part could never pay the debt, which His precious sacrifice, PAID IN FULL. All the glory to our God, who loves us soooooo!!!

First off I don't think 90% of the people would believe who he is or was, and would not care for what he had to say. That is if he came in human form. The last God, could not get all the people to listen to him. For most of them did not care what he had to say. Sorry. take care dave

Because he is God and there will be a time when he will avenge the souls of the maters and saints crying out from under the altar.

Actually both Jesus and God is coming, and Jesus is NOT the Alpha and the Omega.

God himself says the ones conquering (spiritual conquers) are "sons" of the Alpha and the Omega.

Revelation 21:7
"He who overcomes will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My SON.

Jesus himself refers to those conquering as his "brothers", not "sons"

Matthew 25:40
"The King will answer and say to them, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these BROTHERS of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.'

Hebrews 2:10-12
For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to perfect the author of their salvation through sufferings.
For both He who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from one Father; for which reason He is not ashamed to call them BROTHERS
Saying, I will declare thy name unto my BROTHERS, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.

If Jesus was Alpha and the Omega, he would have called them his sons, not brothers.

The one who is "coming quickly" is both God and Jesus Christ. In the Book of Romans, it tells us how this will be done.

Romans 2:16
"on the day when, according to my gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus." (also read Romans 2:5-10)

Basically, they are both coming to do their own part.
In the Book of Matthew, you will see how Jesus will take his roll at Armageddon.

Matthew 25:31-34
31 "When the Son of Man comes in his glory and all his angels are with him, he will sit on his glorious throne.

32 "All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats;

33 and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left.

34 "Then the King will say to those on His right, 'Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

As you can see, God is the one who judges, and Jesus is the one who is going to execute these things at Armoggedon.
