for a young elder to come home early from his missionary service and how would you perceive such a young man? What would be your initial reaction to him and what would be your advice to him? What kind of support would you offer him?
(Sorry for the multiple questions all stuck into one)

A lot of people that are pro-life support the death penalty. They mostly all eat meat too, from animals that don't have to be killed- they could be vegetarians.

If so, does this not mean I'm morally obligated to make the choice for the attacker, by forcing him to cease his attack?

So, how is it that 'pro-choicers' claim they have no right to make a choice for another?

Morality demands it. Often.

Let's hear the excuses, pro-choicers... I want to see how much moral cowardice I can stomach before I hurl.

As the following article reveals, they don't put up with religious garbage trying to push its way into politics or schools. Bravo. That is a point for civilized man over tribal man.

The only country in Europe with a majority of Muslims is Albania, at 60%. Albanian Muslims are Europeans converted by the Ottomans hundreds of years ago. In France, the EU country with the highest proportion of Muslims, figures stand under 10%. Almost all EU countries are closed to foreign immigration except in the case of asylum. European Muslims have about the same fertility rates as non-Muslims. Conversion to Islam is low.

Before the Holocaust, some Polish towns were 1/3 Jewish. but nobody - except the Nazis - thought Europe would be overrun by Judaism. So where's the difference? Where does the myth that Europe is becoming Islamic come from?

I'd like to propose a bill that prevents divorcees, and all those who have had pre-marital intercourse from getting married. Also, I think that anyone who can, without a doubt, be found guilty of adultery should have their marriages anulled by the state and lose their rights to marriage in the future. Obviously, these people are immoral and allowing these unions jeopardizes the sanctity of marriage and families.

Would you support this?

NBC this morning had a po ll on this question. They had the highest Number of responses that they have ever had for one of their polls, and the Percentage was the same as this:

86% to keep the words, IN God We Trust and God in the Pledge of Allegiance
14% against

That is a pretty 'commanding' public response.

Now it is your turn . .. It is said that 86% of Americans believe in God.

Therefore, I have a very hard time understanding why there is such A mess about having 'In God We Trust' on our money and having God in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Why is the world catering to this 14%?

God Bless

Galatians 3:28

"for there is neither Jew nor Greek, slave or free, male or female in Christ we are one."

If God does not see us as male or female, he obviously does not see us as gay or straight....

So, why are the fundies so hung up on sexuality? Wifie not putting out? Get over yourselves...stop worrying about the "stick in my eye, when you have a log in your own"...Matthew 7.

Are MORE or LESS people going to church in 2007 than in the past?
The reason I ask is because the non-denominational/contemporary churches in the area are always talking about having to have extra services, growing, etc (these are even small churches, around 200-300 maybe each), and this seems the same way everywhere else....but then again from what I understand, a lot of the more conservative/'old fashioned' churches like traditional Southern Baptist (not contemporary like some of them are now), Fundamental Ind. Baptist, Church of God, Presbyterian (not contemporary) seem to be slowly declining, I know mine has. The older people are dying out and the younger people just don't go or go to a more contemporary church. Actually, most people I know dont go to church.

the question- are more people in the US going to church because of the more contemporary services, or are fewer going still? The mega-churches like you see on TV don't seem to be hurting.

Hello,
Well I have been practiceing Wicca as a solitary for about 8-10 years now. I have never actually been with a coven nor have I even heard anything about any in my area. First question is what are the benefits of joining a coven? second how would one go about locating a coven and getting into it? is there someone specifically I should speak with in the coven to start the process? any help is greatly appreciated.

hundreds of people were witnesses to these so called witches who were put on trial. over 150 people were arrested and imprisoned for practicing witchcraft. wouldn't that seem foolish nowadays since we know there's no such thing as magic, let alone black magic? yet this is something that happened only about 300 years ago. they had just as many witnesses (christian witnesses) as jesus did for his resurrection. and the information was documented much closer to the time of the occurrence, yet we know that the people who accused the victims were full of it, and that there is no such thing as actual "witches," at least none in the fairy tale, spell casting sense of the word.

Matthew 6:5-8

5"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 6But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

So, when people pray lofty prayers in church or public, or raise their hands in church...are they not just drawing attention to themselves, and how Godly they are?

Aren't people really doing these things to glorify themselves?

Your thoughts?

God created man and woman to be together! Not the same sex. Its wrong and not natural. It is a sin. Where you like it or not it is sinful. People are not born gay. its a sin some people decide to do. They need Jesus for they are lost. Praying for the lost to get saved and change there sinful lifestlyes! Jesus loves you!

Realizing full well that it is a natural law and process you can no more invoke or preclude. Realizing also that if you were able to invoke it, your role or the role of the people involved would come into play in a way you might not be able to control?
For instance, you might not be able to protect a beloved friend if their role in a certain situation were much more negative than you believed. Or if trouble (karmic payback) were to befall someone who deserved it, then might others in their family suffer? So, unless someone is bothering you a lot, isn't it better to ignore them (like brushing off a fly), rather than allowing yourself to get all worked up - creating a much bigger stress for yourself? Is it possible you didn't really unserstand the situation to begin with?
I am often thinking about this with respect to my husband's ex-wife, who caused a lot of damage to many of us.
