I'd like to propose a bill that prevents divorcees, and all those who have had pre-marital intercourse from getting married. Also, I think that anyone who can, without a doubt, be found guilty of adultery should have their marriages anulled by the state and lose their rights to marriage in the future. Obviously, these people are immoral and allowing these unions jeopardizes the sanctity of marriage and families.

Would you support this?

nope. I will not support this. EVER.

Some marriages are bad ones, forced upon the couple for whatever reasons. And sex before marriage, who cares if others do that? Serious, if you don't want to have sex untill you marry, don't. But if you can't by law, then people are going to get married for all the wrong reasons, which would bring up the divorcess.

How would you like it if I had my sentor ban poeple from driving their car if they have had a ticket, or make it illegal for you to leave your job? That doesn't seem like America to me. America is about freedom to live. The pursut of happiness is one of the big three goals of America. How can you be happy in a bad marriage?

Couldn't help but notice you still left out any prohibition against same sex marriage. I mean...if we're going to protect the sanctity of marriage, lets get right down to the foundation...Marriage - husband & wife...man & woman.

When you add that in..then you might have a well rounded bill. or.... will there be secondary laws with special exemptions for certain lifestyles?

I agree with the divorce thing...i mean too many people just rush into marriages thinking "Well if it goes bad I'll just divorce them" and I think that is absurd.. No one learns from their mistakes that way, they only continue to make them because they have been cut slack.

Actually, I think that it would be a better idea to ban marriage, instead... and institute civil 'domestic partnership agreements'. Marriage would be reduced to optional religious 'icing' on the domestic partnership 'cake', with no civil or legal significance whatsoever.

Sure. A few corrections are needed here and there, if you had pre-marital sex and repent you should be allowed again, etc. etc.

It won't pass unless Congress exempts itself.

No, because it is completely lacking in mercy and does not allow any person to grow from their mistakes and make things right.
