I don't fear god as in the general belief in an almighty creator/controller, but I do fear the god that has evolved in the minds of those who would use it to justify controlling and/or eradicating others. That's scarey, especially since it is so strident, having arisen out of a consumate fairy tale.

I don't need to fear any god thing to be good, I do good, and not for any god/heaven/hell , I just do it because i care for others, religion is the last and most annoying thing in my mind.

The word "fear," as it is used when referring to God, means "to reverence or hold in awe," so yes, I do.
AM I afraid? Of course not. Why would I be afraid of someone who loves me perfectly?
