Hey, that is not a black sky, it is a tub over your head blocking the light. Where have you been? Looks like you have been in the parts of Europe that I have not seen.
There is as much or more religion in Europe than there is in the USA, or at least that is true in the areas where I have been in the USA and Europe. But after all, I have only been in 50 of the states in the USA, so maybe I have not seen your area.

I don't know where you get the idea that Europe is more moral. Here in the UK we are fast catching you up on the divorce rate; we have the worst teenage pregnancy rate in Europe and worst venereal disease rate, with the reappearance of syphilis. Other European countries, like Spain, are now trying to outdo us.

Bear in mind that about 0.01% of the American people are responsible for 99.99% of the "bad morals" that Europeans hear about. Trust me, these creation fundies are in a VERY small minority.

How do you figure that Europe is more moral than the U.S.? Where are your facts? And how do you know there isn't religious extremism in Europe? How do you define religious extremism?

What is your value system for judging that Europeans are more moral?
Can you cite large scale test studies and their results?
Just wondering.
I like Europeans, and all -- I just don't think that they are more MORAL than anyone else.

How are they more "moral"?
Anyone can declare himself "moral", and others as "immoral" if you are the one who gets to make up the rules. You will always make up a morality that justifies whatever you are already doing.

Maybe not more moral but more ethical? You can see more clearly w/o the baggage of heavy religion..

Or just the lack of religion in general.
Religious moderates buffer the fundies. So if there's less religion in general there'll be fewer extremists.

Actually, it is the lack of religious 'belief', moreso than 'extremeism'.
Don't worry... we'll catch up to them in 20 - to - 50 years... if we survive the christian 'dominionists'.
