of Francis Exhavier, Francis of Assisi, Padre pio? the cure of ars? Maria Taigi? anthony of Pauda? the miracles of Fatima? the miracles of Lourdes? The miracles of the Eucharist? The miracles of incurruption even after 100 yrs? The miracle of Guadulupe Mexico? La Salette? Miracles of raising the dead? I must agree with our Lord, who said, alas, even if someone should comeback from the dead, even so , they still would not beleive.

Really, it depends on how you use it, but whenever I look at a question that the term "Jew" in it--whether it's "there's this Jew in my school", or "Do Jews....", or "Why do Jews"--then there's always at least one answer saying that they think that either Jewish people would think it's offensive or that they think it can be offensive. It's not true! And if you DO find it offensive, then you shouldn't!

A Jewish person is a Jew! Jews are Jewish people. In Yiddish you say Yid, which is literally a 100% direct translation of the word Jew, and if it were offensive then the word wouldn't even be included in the Jewish language! (Yiddish means Jewish in Yiddish btw.)

Of course, I somewhat agree with the fact that if someone uses it in a way that hints that he is insulting us, then it IS offensive, but it doesn't mean that every time you see it it's being used in such a way. For example, someone says, "Hey, Jew, come here!" or "That Jew over there..." (CONT.)

A study was done on a group of staunch atheists in Munich, Germany. Each of them were attached to heart monitors and brain scanners and then a tape of a song was played which, unknown to them, contained the word 'Jesus' in it because it was actually a gospel song. They were also given control of the volume so that they could easily change it at anytime. While they were listening to the song, it happened that whevener the name of Jesus was unexpectedly mentioned, their heart rate suddenly increased. But what was surprising was that the part of the brain that is responsible for the emotion of fear became stimulated. Also, they reflexively decreased the volume of the audio whenever the name got mentioned and then increased it back up again. This happened even to the ones who had very little religious upbringing.

Why is it that people hate atheists so much?
Did you know that 90% of university professors are Atheist.
Most of the smartest people in our planet do not believe in any main religion. Yet America makes people closet their atheist beliefs.

And don't say i have no proof... They've done poles at the top 20 major universities in the world including Harvard, Oxford, Yale, Princeton and i believe the number was 88% of all PHD are Atheists. the other 12% probably study film.

...that fame, money, celebrity, talent, awards, etc. make for very lousy gods; and that those in vain pursuit of earthly gain, treasure and recognition are ultimately lonely, miserable and depressed....

.....forced to anesthetize their pain with drugs and alcohol because - having achieved everything they've ever dreamed of, they wake up one day and realize - it STILL isn't enough?!?

And that in the final analysis - without GOD, without FAITH, without JESUS CHRIST - life really has no meaning or purpose?!?

Don't these "Celebrity Train-Wrecks" prove the shallow, empty existance provided by the world and those who love the world and seek all the world has to offer?!?

How many translations are there?

2007-09-25 13:14:23 · 8 answers · asked by kamelåså 7

It is clear that we are to obey the New Testament and not the Old, and most any sin you want to name is already named in the New Testament as something we shouldn't do.
The Old Testament has us stoning witches, prostitutes, not eating certain foods, doing animal sacrifices, not having the Holy Spirit, keeping the Sabbath and many other things..
Why is there so much confusion in Christians over keeping the Old Testament law and the New Testament laws.
We are obviously in the New, but many are confused by this, why??

What's the deal? I've asked two questions about psychics and have gotten hardly any answers. I've also asked many people to contact me via e-mail & have not received any. When I do get new answers, it doesn't show it in my e-mail, even though I have it set to.

Anyway, I am really really interested in communicating with anyone who is psychic or think they may be. I do not have an instant messenger, but e-mail works fine. If you are interested, answer this question or e-mail me clicking my avater.

Please, no rude answers. This is serious to me.

So can they? If some one lies and cheats on numerous occasions, being so called repentent each time, they still expect to be forgiven by god?
That means then that you can go through life doing as you please, hurting as many people as you like, 'repent', and still go to heaven. No wonder it's got the following it has. Talk about get out of jail free card.
