...that fame, money, celebrity, talent, awards, etc. make for very lousy gods; and that those in vain pursuit of earthly gain, treasure and recognition are ultimately lonely, miserable and depressed....

.....forced to anesthetize their pain with drugs and alcohol because - having achieved everything they've ever dreamed of, they wake up one day and realize - it STILL isn't enough?!?

And that in the final analysis - without GOD, without FAITH, without JESUS CHRIST - life really has no meaning or purpose?!?

Don't these "Celebrity Train-Wrecks" prove the shallow, empty existance provided by the world and those who love the world and seek all the world has to offer?!?

Oh and please spare me the "But Justin and Britney are Christians" baloney ....being raised in a Christian household, claiming Christianity for convenient PR purposes and behaving in a manner consistent with the Christian faith are two entirely different things!

There are plenty of poeple who are not Christ believers that are extremely nice and happy people. Every belief is as valid as the other, Christianity is no different.

justin timberlake far extra proficient and is form of a fashionable michael jackson/prince form (besides the reality that those legends are extra perfect). he's very imaginitive and works completely with timbaland only like aaliyah, missy elliott, and nelly furtado. britney spears different than her own issues, isn't undesirable, yet i admire in basic terms a number of her hit songs. her albums kinda suck, yet besides desire she gets the help she desires.

Christianity has caused more pain for First Nations people and has taken advantage of illiterate poor folks for years.

Britney Spears' problems are her own. Do not attribute them to lack of anybody's religious fanfare. Let Christianity clean it's own act up first before prescribing to anyone else.

but by your logic, Jesus is more famous than the celebrities you cite! ;)

and why these as 'final proof?' plenty of other celebs have gone this route before.

If you have no meaning in lofe, that's your call. plenty of us get by fine on our own paths. I for one would respect yours more if you were able to respect others.

ADDED in respeonse to your addition: so how do we differentiate from those who claim to be Christians by your standards, and those who claim to be Christians by their standards?

Hate to tell you this, but people have pretty much behaved the way they do today since the dawn of humanity. Get over it.

Good heavens, is THAT why people take drugs - to 'anesthetize their pain'?

I always thought it was because it felt nice. I yield to your greater experience.
