It is basically a creation story or myth....so i am not sure really...i think we were all born with some sort of intelligence to determine between the two...but I see that some people don't know the difference regardless.

The First state of Man. We have already seen that when the work of creation was finished God declared"It was very good". In this work included the formation of man,as to his body, out of " the dust of the ground," while God "breathed in his nostrils the breathe of life; and man became a living soul." Genesis 2:7 this suggest the superiority of man to the various orders of animals, but his superiority is more clearly indicated in these words: "And God said,Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea,and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth." Genesis 1:26.

This is an idea of universe dominion. Man was to be pre-eminent on earth, the lord of the lower creation. This is so plain that some have suppose it to be all that is meant by man's being made in the image of God.

Adam in his original state was fully conformed to a standard of moral right and moral perfection(God's character). The disposition,of his heart was right, his affections were placed supremely on God,his will was in blessed unison with the divine will, his understanding was full of light, and nothing came within the cognizance of conscience without securing its approval. The stamp of holiness was on Adam. There is indirect proof of the original rectitude of man which should not be overlooked. It is in the Bible. "Put on the new man, which after God is created in rightousness and true holiness" Ephesians 4:24.

Finally, all was lost after the fall; and, if lost then, must have existed before the great disaster. Adams original state was a state of innocence, integrity, uprightness, and purity. The approving smile of God was on them both.

1. It was not an apple. No one but God, the devil, Adam and eve, and the angles knew what kind of fruit it was. It does not say in the Bible what kind of fruit it is.

2. There would be no wrong...just right. Because when they broke the law of God, it created sin, and sin is wrong. So, if they would not have bit into the fruit, we would only have right, not wrong.

If there had never been an initial sin, then IMHO we would still live in paradise now, not knowing suffering. But, even if Adam and Eve had not eaten of the forbidden fruit, there still would have been an initial sin. Adam and Eve proved that no one is perfect. That is why God sent perfection to us in the form of Jesus Christ.

We have been created in the image of God and that means that we know what is right and what is wrong. Otherwise God would not have been asking them to eat from that apple..

It was the free will that opened the door to the evil. God did not want us to know about the evil. He warned them, if you eat form that tree, you will surely die. The free will makes things interesting, even today.

Isn't the "fruit" a metaphor like everything else in the bible? The fruit being sex, engaging in it is a sin...? That's more of a question.. brought up with no religeon..just go by what I hear in life.. seems like now more than ever people don't know what the difference is betweem right and wrong .. sad to say

Adam and Eve is a fairy story just like Hansel and Gretal or the 3 bears. If people knew about good and evil why are there so many jails?

Nothing would have changed as Creation and Adam and Eve are a myth. Even in the worst case Adam and Eve are a metaphor which means that god created us sinful to begin with i.e. he set us up for failure at the start.

Very peaceful like the Garden of Eden was before sin came on the scene.

It was a Strawberry, not an Apple. :-p
Not sure how things would have turned out. Maybe it would have been better. But, it seem to me, we would need to know the difference from right/wrong to know how to do right.
