I'm saying that because some supposedly Christians here encourage people who had trauma to believe that demons were the cause ot it. Please ....

I don't think that Chrisitans were ever really CHristians, since none of them that I know of at least are in any form or fashion following anything it says, other than "spread the word" they seem to do a grade A job on that...they might say that THEY are the real Christians, then bash those who they think are not, then the Christians that the other Christians think are fake do the same thing...it's so convulted and confused that the only conclusion that I can make is that there are NO Christians out there in the world...but that is from my own personal experiences and from things I have seen on here, by no means what I say should be used as any arguement against anything, it's just my opinion, if you don't like it, bite me...
-EDIT- Such as the person above me Grandmother, a kind person, but whos to say it's because of her religion? It could be just being a kind person? BUT there are hardly ever any Christians (indeed, ANY person) is like that....

You've run afoul of a sect that engages in casting out demons. They are still stuck in the onward Christian soldiers mentality from the Middle Ages. Most Christians want nothing to do with such things. We go to psychiatrists, couples therapy, take medication, all the things everybody else does. We do believe in demons, but that's the last thing most of us think of when there's a problem. I hope your friend will get away from those people, get some medical help, and hopefully find a church where people are content to let God do the supernatural fighting. Good luck to you and your friend. God bless.

Saint Frances said: Preach the gospel and when nessessary, use words. The best way for most of us to preach is to live our lives like a christian should live. Lots of us at times, screw up. Just like non believers. Others are new in the faith and just dont know any better. Jesus cleans His fish after He catches them. Perhaps instead of watching from the sidelines, waiting to judge everyone who says that they are a christian, maybe you should give it a shot and show us how its done. We dont claim to be perfect. Just saved.

My grandmother was a kind, caring person who was never rich, but would give whatever she could to anyone in need - with compassion, not judgment. She considered herself to be a devout Christian, but lived her faith - she never preached it.

I find her sort of Christian less and less visible today. I'm not enthused by the venom some Christians preach today. I'm at a loss to say what happened.

i dont think there have been many really christians around at any time...christian faith has become for many centuries an ally of established political power and power corrupts people and are people the ones who "create" a religion.
