Protestants set up the bible as their sole authority, in place of the one, holy, apostolic and universal church that Jesus founded and left behind on the earth, for the purpose of our salvation.

Then the protestants set up their own faith traditions to allow them to interpret the bible any way they feel like it.

That way, no one can claim to know the real truth ... but they can always say the Holy Spirit led them to believe certain things.

But God is not the author of confusion, so that argument falls flat, pretty quick.

I'll stick with Catholicism ... and Christ's absolute truth ... as it was faithfully handed down to us by the apostles ... both orally and in writing.

Can't beat that!

With fear and trembling, we are all to work out our own salvation. It is up to you to seek out this One Faith, One Lord, and One baptism. Don't sway with the masses. You are responsible for reading the bible yourself. And you are responsible through faith to receive the Holy Spirit yourself to interpret the word of God.

We don't interpret the Bible, we let the Bible speaks. We don't claim inspiration when reading the Bible, we claim indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 8:9
King James Version (KJV)

9But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

I am assuming you are trying to say the RCC is right? There were divisions in it long before Luther. The RCC is merely one denomination among many.

Also while there may be many protestant denominations we do agree on most points. Our differences are small and for the most part unimportant. Whereas we have great differences with the RCC. For one we pray to God and not to "saints".
