Actually I believe in reincarnation. But I'm curious as to the Christian point of view. People who died before Jesus was born/ crucified/ resurrected never had the chance to be exposed to Christianity.

So where are they now?

committed adultry". So a woman must first be divorced then you can marry her and commit adultry.

I know he said that when a man and woman marry then they become one soul and one body, and what is gathered by God cannot be separated by a human. However, not every marriage can be considered as gathered by God, even if it is in a catholic church and blessed by a catholic priest since these are not God, and maybe all the marriage was not meant to be from the beginning by GOD.

What would seriously weaken it?

Wouldn't things be better if people viewed their faiths as religious philosophies, instead of religious truths? That way, they could still love and follow all of the things that are good about their religions, but can honestly look at the things that have harmful effects (such as homophobia and branding people of other faiths as "evil" and "misled") and simply disregard those things, adopting instead to simply realize that other religions are simply different philosophies on how to live life for a different group of people? Wouldn't that go a long way towards fostering a true spirit of benevolence towards your fellow man?

If people looked at their religions as philosophies, wouldn't they do more to actually help others, instead of just paying lipservice with quotes like "I'll pray for you" or "God will see you through it" and "trust in God"?

I think all religions have some good in them, but they have bad as well. Wouldn't it be better to rid the religion of the bad?

I'm Christian. I just don't think it will work. Sure she seems nice, but it feels weird. It's not going to be easy to convert one another to the other faith. Plus you might even be turned to their faith. So I don't know what do you guys say. What do Christians say.

For example, God kills 70,000 innocent people because David ordered a census of the people (1 Chronicles 21). God also orders the destruction of 60 cities so that the Israelites can live there. He orders the killing of all the men, women, and children of each city, and the looting of all of value (Deuteronomy 3). He orders another attack and the killing of “all the living creatures of the city: men and women, young, and old, as well as oxen sheep, and asses” (Joshua 6). In Judges 21, He orders the murder of all the people of Jabesh-gilead, except for the virgin girls who were taken to be forcibly raped and married. When they wanted more virgins, God told them to hide alongside the road and when they saw a girl they liked, kidnap her and forcibly rape her and make her your wife! Just about every other page in the Old Testament has God killing somebody! In 2 Kings 10:18-27, God orders the murder of all the worshipers of a different god in their very own church! In total God kills 371,186 people directly and orders another 1,862,265 people murdered.

The God of the Bible also allows slavery, including selling your own daughter as a sex slave (Exodus 21:1-11), child abuse (Judges 11:29-40 and Isaiah 13:16), and bashing babies against rocks (Hosea 13:16 & Psalms 137:9).

That police don't send criminals to jail - they send themselves there? Obviously, criminals do not magically materialize inside jail cells upon commiting a crime. The police have to physically apprehend the suspects and force them to enter the cells! Likewise, if anybody goes to Hell, it will be because God physically (or spiritually?) places them there... they certainly aren't going to waltz in there of their own free will!!! An important difference, however, is that most prisoners in a jail cell did something to deserve being there, whereas most of the people slated for assignment to Hell are "guilty" only of not being able to believe a story about a talking snake giving an apple to a naked woman...

What then made God?

You yourselves say that life could not have come from nothing. Can God have come from nothing? Or was He actually created?

Or you will tell me that Intelligent Design does not apply to God?

mark 4:10-12

11And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
12That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

Romans 11:8-10

10Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.

Isaiah 6:9-10Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed

If we are to believe its by God's faith that He gives grace, as it boldly says in Ephesians 2, and even if we are faithless, He remains faithful for He cannot deny Himself (2 Timothy), then who does He not give this grace to?

If we do not choose Him, and He chooses us (John 15) and He is not a God who shows favoritism (Romans 2), then whom does He not choose?

If no one comes to Him unless the Father draws him (John 6), and Jesus said when He died, He would draw all men unto Himself (John 12), then whom does He not draw?

Do we serve a Savior of all men, and especially those that believe (1 Timothy 4) or a Savior of all men, but only those that believe?
