Normally you can't tell unless they are overt about it, both vocally as well as how they dress. Unless I am vocal about it, no one would know that I am Wicca let alone a 1st degree priestess. I do not announce it because it is a private choice. I do wear some jewelry, and if someone asks, I will talk about it, but only if I feel the person is sincere. Besides, I DO NOT do things like that since that is an invention of Hollywood and ancient Christians who wanted to stamp out people who they considered a threat (like me????)
