I'm obviously referring to the concept of hell as taught by mainstream Christianity. Since God is love, and I believe he is, isn't this the mother of all contradictions? They believe that the God of love created what is essentially a torture chamber called hell which is suppose to inflict pain and torment unendingly. Is this punishment or torture? How is this justice? How is this punishment to fit ANY crime? I thought punishment is about correction, not unending infliction of pain, misery, and torment. Wouldn't God have a more appropriate justice system than this? I not only think so, I believe he does!

Say your truth—kindly, but fully and completely. Live your truth, gently, but totally and consistently. Change your truth easily and quickly when your experience brings you new clarity.

Sin is certainly a grim fact! It stands like a titanic force, contesting all the good that men my try to accomplish. It stands like a dark shadow, ever ready to blot out whatever light may reach us from God. Do you know this?

Here we face the greatest of all mysteries, the most significant of all secrets, the most unanswerable of all questions. How could God who is all powerful, all holy, and all loving have created evil? or premitted the devil to create it? Why did Adam have to be tempted?

There is a satanic principle involved in all that is happening today. The Bible describes "that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world" (Revelation 12:9), and we know him to be at work confusing all peoples and all nations. His Handiwork is to be seen in every turn. Do you agree?

I've always wondered this...and I'd love to have some sort of answer. Like, If you die-do you become total nothingness, or do you somehow live on In some sort of way? Are the people who are now dead still there, or are they completely....gone? I know I've heard of ghost stories, and spirit stories and whatever-but I just want to somehow assure myself that the ones who are no longer here, are still here somehow, and that there really Is life after death. And If there Is...when you die too, can you visit them? I just want there to be hope to see the ones you lost again, and some truth In an answer.
I know that probably many people wonder this...but If you have any answers, opinions, or thoughts, they'd be gladly appreciated. :D

Why is a blood transfusion considered to violate the Mosaic Law's prohibition on "eating" blood, since the blood is entering the body via the circulatory system and not via the digestive system?

Also, why are JWs required to keep this part of the Mosaic Law and not others? I know there is a passage in the NT that the WT says restates this rule for Christians, but I forgot where it is?

Please note: This is a serious inquiry. I really just want to know what this doctrine is based upon. (Not being an a troll or anything like that.)

Muslims say the terrorists have hijacked their religion. Why don't "true muslims" declare Jihad against terrorists? Why aren't they fighting to defend Islam from those whom they say are not really representing it?

I noticed a few comments on here about how counselors should stop counseling people and everyone should turn to the Bible instead. I thought this was weird that someone shun seeking real help and instead turn somewhere that my or may not help them. Have you ever stopped a suicide by simply talking to someone? Does it not say that God helps those that help themselves?

I've also seen plenty of devout religious people turn to counseling as well as the church-- some people just need a human being to help them through hard parts of life as well as whatever God they believe in. And don't forget-- your Bible is one of thousands of different gods and goddesses that span the world.

Someone spoke out against Oprah. Oprah is a strange person, but she does so much good and gives to so many charities. What's the problem with someone not only trying to help her fellow human beings with their problems, but help save lives too?

Are you against psychiatrists helping people? Why?

How does it make you feel when you see so many "un-believers" on R&S answering questions with such malice and disregard to our Lord?
At first it was overwhelming to me, now it just saddens me.
How about you?

I wanted to know if any of you have prayed it, and if it has helped to resolve your issue (inshallah).

While prayer isthikhara, I have often been confused as to what the intention has to be... Do I ask about a certain future event, or about a event already happening?

And can someone give me the English version of the arabic, the du'a in arabic but written in English for isthikhara. I read the quran in arabic but I find reading dua's in english easier for me.

Thanks :) ... MoonLit

My favourite band. Have all their albums. My favourites are the first album, Master of Reality, Paranoid, The Mob Rules, Heaven and Hell (I saw the Heaven and Hell tour a few days ago) and Cross Purposes.

I've got to say that Ronnie James Dio is a superb vocalist live, perfect pitch, holds a note really well with vibrato, very proficient.

So for other born again Christians, do you like Sabbath? What are your favourite albums/songs?
