well there ya have a right kind suggestion from zellparis...
honestly though i think the more years you are married the more comfortable you should be with your spouse...being alone and having that personal time really is healthy but you leave me wondering if your are not struggling with more than just catching a few hours of down time here ...are we talking about him leaving for work on a daily basis or leaving the house because he too seeks this time away from you...there is alot one can speculate from your question without proper details being filled in ...so i guess it really depends on how much time you are seeking, the quality of your marriage and or time together and the condition that you two part in ...

Sounds like you should focus on the advantages of each state (being alone and being with someone) when you are in it. There are definitive advantages to time all to yourself. You don't have to worry about how you look or if you are being messy, for example. On the other hand, there are lots of things that are most enjoyable when one is with someone else like going to an amusement park or eating at a restaurant. Your thoughts are natural. Solitude refers to a desired "aloneness". Loneliness has negative connotations. Try more to enjoy whichever one you are currently experiencing.

It sounds like you just like to have your "me" time.

I am single, and cannot imagine being in a long term or serious relationship at this point in my life because I am all about having that me time.

Being alone does NOT mean that you are lonely. I think that alone time can be some of the most relaxing, enlightening and free of times. It allows one to do the things that they love to do, the things that make them who they are, and that is important because if you are not whole as an individual, you will never be interesting to be with as a pair :)

solitude can be very healthy...being by myself always recharges my batteries-but i have to say that with the exception of a few times when i was all messed up and depressed, i've never really FELT alone

As much as we may love someone, we also need time to ourselves. Too much of anything or anyone is not a good thing. I am SO looking forward to next week - a bunch of us girls are going camping together. No kids, no hubbies, no phones, and no computers.

it's OFTEN honey. and i get the need for alone time...but if its constant that you want the other (i.e. when he's not home, you want him home, as soon as he gets back you want him gone) you might have more issues that we can deal with here. Marital counseling, therapy, a few friends...
Or just find a hobby that you can do while he's home and have the best of both worlds.

flannel, I honestly don't know...

LOL I remember feeling that way sometimes, but, that was because he didn't like me to write when he was home....understandable.... but, if you are in the middle of something and unable to continue unless he is gone, that can be a bit of a problem....especially if you're afraid you will forget some idea's for research, etc.,.

Peace be with you all :)

Everyone has to have some alone time every once in a while to recharge and tend to yourself. It's healthy

It can be hard to be alone, keep your heart focussed on your man out there who also surely must feel alone in his duty and support each other as best you can.

No one is alone by himself or herself. This shows that THE HOLY SPIRIT is with you always. THE LORD GOD can be a father to your or can be your bridegroom or can be your friend. Call on THE LORD GOD because THE LORD GOD is not a GOD WHO is far away but near you and us. WITH THE LORD GOD, you are with the right divine company and the company of innumerable angels. Do not say you are alone. EVEN THE HOLY SPIRIT is with us even in our sleeping and throughout our lives. THANK GOD; FEAR GOD; PRAISE GOD; GLORIFY GOD; HONOR GOD; LOVE GOD AND WORSHIP GOD.
