I was at the age of 15 by a group of "christians" who tricked me into attending a home where there was suppose to be a church service. I was raised Quaker and had never been hit in my life. I was worked over until I accepted Jesus into my life. That began 30 years of H*** for me spiritually. Now I am Wiccan and at peace. Any one else have this type of experience???

As I read through some of the questions and answers here, I see people of all faiths (or none) who seem very intelligent, honest, and controlled, and then there are those who make me think, "Even if I were Christian (or whatever), I'd *still* think this guy was nuts."

Is this the case? Are there others in your own religion who you wish would just shut up or who you think "don't really get" their own religion?

Does anyone know if they are dead, or are they still alive?
Did God ever forgive them? I can't find anything in the bible that says God didn't let them back into Eden. It only says He placed something to guard the way to the Tree of Life. But this is kinda left open, at this point, as if to hint at something...

I was recenlty badgered online--the harasser said a variety of quite offensive things, ALL of which unwarranted, and uncalled for. When this person became visciously insulting, I told him to "go to Hell." He continued, saying that, because I am atheist, it is "immature" for me to say such a "religious" thing to him.

Everyone I've discussed the matter with, that knows what he said to me, has agreed that being told to "go to Hell" is the least of what he deserves.

So, my question: what do you think of atheists using the phrase "go to Hell?"

I've seen the most unkind things and rude comments in this section and it doesn't make sense. Isn't this the religion and Spirituality section? It seems to me that everyone on here thinks they're right and has to let everybody know, especially the people talking about creation vs. evolution. I've even been guilty of it sometimes, but I've discovered that this section is like a WAR ZONE!

Why is that? It really doesn't make sense.

Keeping people suffering and living a little longer makes the drug industry and others massive profits, as someone pointed out in a previous answer. Is that a good reason for depriving euthanasia to Americans, while some other countries show their compassion for those who are suffering?

I've always been to non-denominational Churches, or small little 'home Churches'.

I now go to an Assemblies of God Church. The Pastor is leaving to become a board member of the AG Group in MO.

We are going to be 'voting' in a new Pastor.

What can I expect to happen?
