What ever happened to Adam and Eve?

Question

Does anyone know if they are dead, or are they still alive?
Did God ever forgive them? I can't find anything in the bible that says God didn't let them back into Eden. It only says He placed something to guard the way to the Tree of Life. But this is kinda left open, at this point, as if to hint at something...

What about the 'one day is as 1000 years' idea?

I just read somewhere that the Bible says Adam lived to be 930-nothing about Eve. Also, some historians figured out that if their 'years' were equated with moon cycles (IE-each time there was a new moon it was considered a new year), the age was equal to 60 or 70 of our years. (There are 12-13 new moons a year so you would need to divide by twelve point something).

Genesis 5:5  And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.

I couldn't find anything on Eve. However, we know that she is dead. We don't see their relationship with GOD after they sinned. I suspect that they may have been redeemed.

It was purposely left open to a time when we will once again be in the Garden.

Revelation 22:1  And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2  In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Notice Genesis showed how we lost the Garden and Revelation shows us that the redeemed return to what they lost.

In countless places throughout the Bible, it is stated that Adam and Eve are dead. God told them death would come to them if they sinned.

God clothed them in animal skins, which was His way of showing that He was providing redemption for them, as their own works were insufficient.

The Tree of Life is no longer on earth; Revelation speaks of it, as it will be accessible to the redeemed ones of Christ's kingdom.

Keep searching in the Scriptures for the teachings of God; but remember, they all lead to Christ. God bless you with faith in Him.

They died. the Bible doesn't mention Eve dying but if Adam lived to be 930, she probably died around the same age..

Adam lived 930 years. Gen5;5
Eve's age is not listed. Possibly Ibri priests were erasing a more matrilineal prehistoric society and even to utter the name of the "first" wife was to give her power.

As a Christian I hate to agree with Jon-Jon but I really have trouble with the whole doctrine of Adam-and-Eve as real literal people.

But who knows, I could be wrong...

It just doesn't happen to be a "deal-breaker" when it comes to my faith.

They never existed. Even if you're "Christian," if you actually believe in the literal truth of the Adam and Eve story, I only pity you. You might just as well believe that Atlas supports the world and the Moon is the North Wind's cookie.

They never existed. The ignorant people who wrote this story didn't have sufficient knowledge to know that when members of the same family have children, the offspring are always born with genetic defects like sterility and Mongolism(Down Syndrome). If you want proof, marry your cousin and have children.
