This may sound crazy but I think if there is a God we shall discover God's nature and existence through science. Everything science has explained and discovered through the scientific method was previously considered magical and paranormal. Science explains the laws of nature, yet is open to correction unlike religious dogma. So, as it is if there is a God He likes to conceal himself from our perceptions so science is our best hope for now.

Ok well let me start with why I beleive in God. Two years ago on june 5th I went to church with my brother. I answered an alter call after the preacher totally nailed my problems and gave me an answer that came straight from the Bible. I no longer had the addictions I once had, I was delivered from anger and I had a Joy that I had never had before, something lifted off of me is the best way to explain it. So that is why I believe,PLus I go to a church that prays for the sick,It says to do that in the Bible. My daughter was suppose to be born with a brain disorder,I had my pastor pray for me and th unborn baby, My daughter was healed of that disorder. So I give God all the glory for that. Now if you Not only read the Bible but study it using a study Bible and concordance you will find Gods answers to your questions plus find a church where they preach the gospel, Start to pray to God,I guarantee he will reveal himself to you. Here is a website to our church fellowship so you can see if we have a church near you. http://www.christianfellowshipministry.com
You can also find out all about the fellowship there also . I hope you find what you are looking for. By the way God doesn't believe in Athiest, He created you from the womb and has a plan and purpose for you. God bless you!

On your knees in humble submission.
When you realize (I speak of all of us) what a sinner you are next to such a holy God. You will feel SOOO small and insignificant and sinful. This is God drawing you and opening your eyes. Then you cry out to Him and if you are sincere He will answer you and you will be born again. Then you will be shocked over the reality of things.
You will start to read the bible and never get enough. You will say why did I repent before? How could I have done this? Or that? How could I have thought that way? Etc.
It starts on your knees and if you are TRULY geniune you will become a NEW person much to your surprise.
Right now, as a unregenerate person this makes NO sense to you, but IF He is really drawing you, it WILL.

I believe in God because even though I was an agnostic for most of my life God arranged circumstances to where I ended up at a church one day and heard the gospel message and He gave me the gift of faith and called me into his family.
Sorry if that doesn't make much sense, but that's how the Bible explains it. Suffice it to say that I didn't plan on finding God and wasn't looking to "get saved" but that's what ended up happening.
Since you are seeking to know the truth then maybe God is calling you to Him too. It's definitely a good sign. I could give you a lot of links showing why the Christian faith is based upon historical facts and that it isn't just something made up, but that won't save you. God has to give you the gift of faith.
Maybe if you pray and honest prayer to Him like saying "I don't know if you are real but I want to know the truth so if you are real then please show me the truth in Jesus' name" might help.
You can click on the Answers button @ http://web.express56.com/~bromar/ to find many explanations for why you can believe and you can read the Bible by clicking on the Bible icon at the bottom of the page and you can read this article about why the Bible can be trusted to be of divine origin http://www.jesus-is-lord.com/divine.htm
But the thing that differentiates Christianity from other religions is the teaching that God cannot be found by our own efforts. He exists outside of time and space which He created and He has to interact with us of his own choosing in order to reveal Himself to us.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
But like I said, if you want to know the truth then that's a good sign that God is working on your heart to reveal it to you and I pray that He will in Jesus' name, amen!

Fact: it takes more faith to believe there is no God than for one to believe that there is. Science is currently embracing that all of creationd has an intelligent design therefore there must be an intelligent designer.
To get to know God better you have to read on what He has done and that's recorded in the Bible. Genesis-Dueteronomy is a good start.
He likes to be called: El-Shaddi but that's a whole different question answered!

God is present everywhere. He is omnipresent -- there isn't anywhere that He isn't. He is as close as calling upon Him.
Revelation 3:20... Jesus said, " Behold I stand at the door and knock; if ANYONE hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with him and he with Me".
God knows all things--He is omnicient. In fact He has been waiting for your eagerness to come out and ask to find Him. Listen, in 2 Peter 3:9... God is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
Ask Him to come into your life. Confess your sins to Him, trust Him as your Saviour and as others have said to read the bible and attend a bible teaching church.
Listen, God desires a relationship with you more than anything. God does love you.
I was raised Catholic. Drifted out there for years then a family member invited me to a church. Not initially but after seeking the Lord for a period He spoke to me and got a hold of my heart. Now I can't live without Him.

His Creation.
I believe Him because of many reasons:
-fulfilled prophecy
-answered prayer
-peace from Him that surpasses human comprehension
-the fact that no matter where I am in the world, if there are other believers there, I have an instant family
-the faces of my children, especially as newborns
I hope that someday you will come to believe Him and receive salvation through His Son Jesus Christ. If you ever want to chat about that feel free to email me.
Sincerely - Redeemed

If you want to read and learn God's Word, here is a day by day outline on how to read and study the Bible:
http://kcm.org/studycenter/bible/january.php
By the way.....you can now get the Bible in modern English instead of the old King James. I like to read both. First in the King James and then in the modern English.

i find God everywhere! i dont know how anyone can look around at the beauty of nature,or the intricate complexities of life and not KNOW that there HAD to be a creator of all this. our planet is just the perfect distance from our sun, with just the exact mixture of gasses we need to survive. i have a very hard time thinking that all of this could be an accident. find a good modern translation, like the holman version,of the bible and see if you can find inspiration there. i will pray that you find the truth. God bless you for seeking

The Word, Jesus Christ. Read the bible and examine the Word. Seek with a humble heart.
Have you ever been to a junior high dance? The boys stand on one side and the girls stand on the other. Imagine how difficult it is for a boy to walk across the empty floor and invite a girl to dance knowing she may reject him and everyone would laugh. At a young age, I saw a glimpse of the heart of God.
I believe in Him because He was the only one who laid down all His power, stripped himself of all pride and invited me. When I accepted His invitation, I received peace and forgiveness where there was anger and shame before.
