Of course it will. Look at the impact of the Vietnam War on elections. Many candidates have been thrown by the wayside simply by effectively labeling them as trigger happy with bombs. For some reason, this country had become enamored with warmongering. That would be because our 'dark masters' are warmongers and warlords and lords of war. Our actions in Iraq have jeopardized the safety of America. There will likely be significant blowback in my estimation.
