it is a very desperate venue indeed. Because one side is jostling for the saving of souls and the other is jostling for the ruin (death) of soul . This is where the rubber meets the road.

To get along well here one really needs to develop an appreciation for the literary art of sarcasm. A quarter inch thick hide does not hurt any, either. Never show weakness and never back up. On the other hand, if you were wrong, apologize and let it go at that. You will meet some very literate and well educated people here. Welcome.

I think it's just that we're all so passionate about religion. I think that in real life most people on here are decent. Body language, tone and inflection is a very big part of communication. I believe we simply misunderstand each other in this format. Some people who appear rude to us may not be rude at all.

While it's true that this section has more rude and unkind comments than any other section (and we fight like cats and dogs), we also come together in bad times, regardless of beliefs (or lack thereof). Besides, there are a lot of really neat, decent people on here, and they far outnumber the bad.

How long have you been here, an hour? Some people are unkind and some people like to debate. This place has people of many beliefs, and they are bound to clash at times. A place where everyone agreed would be boring, don't you think? Be advised...this is NOT the Christian board. It is for all beliefs, so don't think you can come here just to exchange Christian pleasantries. It's much hotter than that.

It appears rude to you because you are more concerned about your faith than about what anyone else has to say about what they believe. Most of the time it is not as much being rude as it is with disagreeing on a statement that is made that someone feels is unfounded.
Some people are insulting in order to be noticed like the bully in school. These people do not have self confidence to take differing opinions from their own. They are just sick....

That is because it is all a matter of opinions here. So of course there will be rude people because the have a different opinion then someone else, so they try and force their belief on others. I try to be respectful though. You really want rude, try Polls&Surveys, or politics or something. lol.

i do no longer comprehend lots approximately different R&S sections. yet i think of the subject of rudeness vegetation up on each occasion every person is debating something that they care very lots approximately. In maximum political debates i've got witnessed, somebody finally gets very impolite with the aid of fact of anger that folk on the different area don't have self assurance the "precise" issues, and additionally with the aid of fact they undertaking people who do have self assurance in those "precise" issues. while human beings sense their maximum enjoyed ideals & values are under attack -- despite those ideals & values are -- rudeness or maybe worse issues can save on with. in addition with R&S, i think of. even though it is not purely Christians who specifically situations try this. fairly some human beings in right here savor teasing & tormenting the Christians in hopes of becoming them lose their tempers. -- A friendly agnostic/ former evangelical bible learn member

Then the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."
14 So the LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, "Cursed are you above all the livestock and all the wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life.
15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman,
"and between YOUR offspring and HERS;"
he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel."
