I was at the age of 15 by a group of "christians" who tricked me into attending a home where there was suppose to be a church service. I was raised Quaker and had never been hit in my life. I was worked over until I accepted Jesus into my life. That began 30 years of H*** for me spiritually. Now I am Wiccan and at peace. Any one else have this type of experience???

YES, I'm afriad that christians do act this way. I have seen lots of other things too during that 30 years that make me wonder why so many follow this faith. I have seen christians steal, rape and commit every "sin" they preach against. And I am not alone.

I became a Wiccan at 17. I met the father of my son at 19. He first mentally abused me by telling me I was going to burn in hell along with all my friends, then physically started beating me about every two or three days, at least, for a month. He was 'beating' the Xtiany into me, forcing me to read the bible and other Xtian books. Constantly telling me how meaningless my life was without Christ.

After I sent him to prison, that night I did my first Wiccan ritual since all that had happened, it was a ritual of thanks.

I'm sorry for your experience with Christianity, Prairie.

I was born into a Catholic family and my parents are still devote Catholics. I attended a Catholic High School myself.

I was never beat ... or abused ... under the guise of Christianity. I am aware that people do experience what you did but I hope you realize that there are many "good" people who are not - and they find spiritual solace in Christianity just as you and I find it in Wicca.

Unfortunately all spiritual beliefs are those begot of human beings and we all know that no human is perfect. We all have flaws. We all interpret things in our own way which leads to experiences such as yours.

I advocate acceptance of all spiritual paths.
I advocate compassion and understanding between all spiritual beliefs.
I understand that it may never happen ... but one can hope.

Bright Blessings!

Blessings to you....I can only imagine and the thoughts of doing that alone make me cringe!

I am so glad that you have found your true calling and path in this life...as for those who did that to you...I do not pity, but I do wonder what lessons they are here to learn in this lifetime.

May your blessings be large and great......may your experiences and wisdom speak out to the masses of people who are not able to express themselves, especially those who have gone through something similar. If you have not found a way of forgiveness, rest easy in knowing that the three-fold law IS in full effect.

Blessed Be

Darling, I'll never underestimate anything that an Zealot is capable of - more so when they believe that they have their God on their side.

My home was stalked for 7 years - ending the weekend after the State Government introduced fairly solid "Anti-stalking" laws - so even their God wouldn't be able to protect them. Even after that I've been accused of being Satanic left right & crocked, spat at in the street - all by "God fearing" people.

All I can suggest is protect yourself. That's all you can do.

Wow how horrible!! I never got beat into it, I just got born and brainwashed into it.

What a terrible experience!

I wonder if some Christians might wonder why someone would have to be beaten to stay in their religion.... and I wonder if anyone has ever been beaten into becoming a Wiccan... somehow, I doubt it.
