Jesus is the only true living God! you can believe it or not. but it will not change the fact that Jesus is real and our God! Jesus is no fairy tale. He is no fantasy or made up! Jesus is real and alive in heaven. Jesus is our soon comeing king! other so called gods are false and not real. false gods will get you no where but hell for you worship something false. Jesus is the true God. Jesus loves you! praying for you all!

Galatians 1:8 states: "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed." Some examples of "false gospels" include:

1). that water baptism is required for salvation.

2). that one can "accept" Jesus to be one's saviour.

3). that speaking in tongues is a proof of salvation.

4). that the Sabbath is on Saturday (7th-day Sabbath).

5). that Christians can divorce their spouse if their spouse is an unbeliever.

6). that prayer to "saints" encourages God to answer our prayer.

7). that women can teach or preach when men are present in the assembly.

Why are we even here?

I mean short of all people being perfect clones of each other with absolutely NO differences about which to fight.... under which circumstances there would need to be only one gender and humanity would promptly go extinct.

... Just why do people go wishing for world peace when there is absolutely nothing in the entire world that people will NOT fight about?

Couldn't they just win that someone would hurry up and win the wars quickly to avoid larger casualty-counts?

I wonder what he's so afraid of?

2007-08-09 11:15:52 · 6 answers · asked by Anonymous

I'm an atheist and have been annoyed for pretty much my whole life with the pushiness, restrctiveness, contrilling behavior, and holier than thou attitude of Christians. It is not the way I want to live and I hate that there are people that think I will actually "burn in hell" for this.
BUT
The culture and faith that strikes fear into my heart is Islam. Muslims are backward, intolerant (even when they come to the USA to live with US!!!), violent, and dead-set on forcefully coverting/killing everyone that gets in their way of taking over the world. I am not saying that all muslims, or even close to all of them are like this, but they are growing in numbers and it is not a good thing. Britain is done for. They have it secured. There are more Muslim youths in Britain than any other faith. And I fear for the USA, as do many people that are educated on this subject.
SO
That being said, I think Christians will be the ones fighting for their beliefs and keeping USA free.
Opinions?

Instead of desiring and accepting barriers and parameters on everything... wouldn't it be much more enjoyable to leave things undefined; half-formed?

Does our existence require anything more?

I was wondering...I see many people use Christians as an excuse for not believing in Christianity...but the believers don't make the belief...

I see many people say they can't believe in a giant sky pixie....but they don't say why...

So, this is a serious question, besides the "lack of evidence" about the bible and God...why don't you believe?

Please be respectful because I'm questioning why some don't or can't believe...if you give me a good argument besides "where did the water go from the flood?"(or other things) you may actually convince me I'm wrong...

During a conversation today with a friend of mine, I was reminded of the final line from "The Devil's Advocate" -

"Vanity... DEFINITELY my favorite sin".

This is a genuine question born of curiosity. I want to know what Christians consider prideful, how they deal with pride in themselves, etc.

Do you acknowledge your skill and success when you've expertly solved a problem or completed a task? Do you enjoy the spoils of all your hard work? Do you agree when people compliment you? Do you ever strive to be especially attractive?

How do you determine what's prideful and what isn't (and are there gray areas)? What do you do when you feel you're too prideful? How do you avoid pride?

ok i want mature answers here no homophobic crap.
right if your sexuality detemines whether you are ahem 'holy' or a 'sinner' then why does the bible say that you shouldn't judge?? if god was to judge in the end then why do some (not all) christians judge others, quotes bibles and act like they are god??

i don't want 'opinions' i want a good definition of how you will answer this even if you sit on the fence. i want an educated, intelligent well thought of answer even if i don't agree with you i will chose you as best answer because this isn't about my actual opinion.

i want somebody to disagree with the bible or agree with it but with a well backed up answer and really good points.

if you write me a long essay that doesn't mean to say i will give you best answer.

like i said even if it goes against MY opinion if it is well backed up i will give you best answer and feedback (with my opinion)

good luck!

Hebrews 4:16 tells us, "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." Amen. This verse is one of my favourites. It tells us that we can come to God boldly and receive mercy and grace. This doesn't mean that we come to God with a big wish list and arrogantly say 'I want this and this and this.' Under the Old Covenant, the Israelites were not allowed to come to where God was. But now we can talk straight to the Father becuase Christ bridged the gap between man and God. I want to know, will those who have not accepted Christ as their saviour please go to the Father seeking His mercy? Also, Christians, will you go to the Father to ask Him for His mercies to help you in your time of need? Be Blessed this evening.

beseech, admonish, exhort, command, obey, rebuke, lord, demand, implore, kingdom, reprimand, scold, dominion, authority, supreme.

How many times do these words appear in so-called sacred texts? How many people realize these words come from men, and that they were specifically intended to cause 'sheep' to carry out 'their' will, under the pre-text of 'god's' will? Sadly, too few I think...
