Galatians 1:8 states: "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed." Some examples of "false gospels" include:
1). that water baptism is required for salvation.
2). that one can "accept" Jesus to be one's saviour.
3). that speaking in tongues is a proof of salvation.
4). that the Sabbath is on Saturday (7th-day Sabbath).
5). that Christians can divorce their spouse if their spouse is an unbeliever.
6). that prayer to "saints" encourages God to answer our prayer.
7). that women can teach or preach when men are present in the assembly.

Christopher-I didn't mean to upset you but you have the Scripture in front of you. The word "accursed" in Galatians 1:8 means damned, that is to be condemned to hell! Please take a look at 2 Corinthians 11:4 also. I have observed people in this forum promoting "another gospel" and preaching "another Jesus",

Lakey-there is only one True Gospel; all the others are false gospels. May I suggest that you do a word study on "Gospel" or "faith." I hope this will help you.

Gnostic-I plainly stated that there is only 1 True Gospel. That is why God warns us to beware of "another gospel." I have to disagree with your statement that "God loves everyone." That is not true! Please check Psalms 5:5 and 11:5. In the New Testament, see Romans 9:10-13.

single eye-the basic characteristic of a "false gospel" is a works gospel, this is a person must do something in order to become saved. The Bible tells us that Christ and only Christ could complete the awesome work in order to save anyone! Christ had to endure the equivalent of spending eternity in hell. And He did it in the hours between the Garden of Gethsemanae and when He said "It is finished" on the cross. That meant that Christ endured the equivalent of spending eternity in hell condensed into the hours between the Garden and when He said, It is finished." Our little minds cannot conceive of the enormous payment that Christ paid! Only God could make this payment. As for false doctrines, the true believer loves the Lord and wants to be obedient to His word (Psalm 119). In John 14:23 we read, "Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him." Check John 14:15, 21

And then in 1 John 2:3,4 we read, "And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him."
As for the authority to say these things, the Bible says in Mark 16:15, "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." I just want to be faithful to the Lord. Does this offend you?

passerby-I am sorry to upset you. You have made many statements here which are not true.....I do not know where you get your information from. Let us take the Sabbath day. In Exodus 31: 13 we read, "Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you." Notice what God says here! The Sabbath was a SIGN. You may say, "a sign of what?" That God does all the work to save us! Remember the man that picked up a few sticks on the Sabbath (Numbers 15:32-35)? What happened? God commanded that man to be stoned to death! You see, if we attempt to do any work to earn salvation, we are like this man that picked a few sticks on the Sabbath. The Lord is the only One who can save us and He does ALL the work. Did you know that "faith" is a work? Check out 1 Thess 1:3 and 2 Thess 1:11. So how do we understand Ephesians 2:8,9?

We read in Galatians 2:16, "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified."
In Galatains 2:20 we read, "I am crucified with Christ: neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."
And in Philippians 3:9 the Bible states, "And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:"
So you can see that it is Christ's faith, not our faith, because faith is a work. When God opens our eyes to this truth, then Romans 10:17 becomes so clear: "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

"Faith" is a synonym for Jesus Christ. He is the only One who is Faithful and True (Revelatian 19:11). We then see, So then CHRIST cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
The Bible is the key! If Christ has elected us to salvation, we will be saved at some time in our life. But the "event" will only occur under the hearing of God's word-the Bible. God also determines when He will save a person. God saved John the Baptist in his mother's womb. The Lord saved the thief on the cross shortly before the thief died. The Lord is Sovereign. He is God.

And passerby-if you take a look at Colossians 2:16, 17 we find, "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ."
You see a "shadow" has no substance. The Sabbath was a sign to us that God (Jesus) does all the work to save us. If we attempt to do anything to earn salvation, we are like the man who picked up some sticks on the Sabbath and came under the wrath of God.

passerby-Jesus was crucified on the day before the 7th-day Sabbath (this is why the women came early Sunday morning to the tomb with spices because they had no time to prepare the body because of the 7th-day Sabbath; Luke 24). Jesus was in the tomb from Friday afternoon until early Sunday morning. Beause Christ arose from the dead on Sunday, Christians hold Sunday as the Sabbath Day today. In Isaiah 58:13-14 we read, "If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it."
Do you see the difference between the 7-th day Sabbath and the Sunday Sabbath?

The people were commanded to fast and afflict themselves on the 7-th day Sabbath. Not so on the Sunday Sabbath! Christians are to praise and thank God. They are to proclaim the
glorious Gospel to the world. Recall when God created the world? On the first day (Sunday), God created LIGHT. This was a picture showing us that on Sunday, we are to send the Gospel light into the world.

In Matthew 28:1 we read, "In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre."
If we go back to the Greek, the verse shuld read In the end of the sabbaths, as it began to dawn on the first of the sabbaths........ In Matthew 28:1 the translators made an error with the word "Sabbath." It is a plural word in both instances. The translators made an error in making "Sabbath" singular. Therefore we have one era of sabbaths ending (the 7-th day sabbaths) and a new era or sabbaths beginning-the Sunday Sabbaths. The translators did and exceelent job in the King James Bible but sometimes they did not do their homework correctly.

I agree with you that many are following “another gospel”, and therefore, according to Galatians 1:6-9, they are “accursed”. I notice, however, that the only verse you referenced was Galatians 1:8. You did not cite any verses as proof text for the eight things you call “false gospels”. I believe if you will “search the scriptures”, you will find that you are absolutely correct on most of your points, but that on some, there is a Biblical basis that you may not have considered. We should search the scriptures to see what is true! (Acts 17:11, 2 Timothy 3:16-17) Please consider these texts that discuss the points you have mentioned. I have numbered these to correspond with your numbers above. 1.) Mark 16:16, Hebrews 5:9, read Luke 24:47 - along with Acts 2:verses 5 and 38, Romans 6:3-13, Galatians 3:27, Colossians 2:12, Acts 22:16, and 1 Peter 3:21. 2.) John 12:48 3.) Ephesians 2:8-10, Luke 17:10 4.) Exodus 20:10 5.) Matthew 19:5-9 6.) 1 Timothy 2:5 7.) 1 Timothy 2:12 8.) 1 Corinthians 13:1, 8 Please read these texts with the intent to believe whatever the Bible teaches!

Yeah the bible is the word of God, it only took a Emperor and a hand picked Bishops from the the west to pick and choose writings and those that they did they edited them to support the doctrine that they got from Augustine about original sin, and thus went on to create a system by which they could control people.
Interesting how this word of God was put together by some carnal men in the Nicea meeting, where their they made up the trinity, made the Jesus-God, and etc.
Your list is all the examples of what a pharisaic mindset is, and the words of one whom does not understand salvation. Baptism is a spiritual/internal event in the life of a seeker, has nothing to do with a ritual, that my friend is a tradition, much like what the pharisaic did when they read what was allegoric as literal and made rituals and traditions that took them away from the very purpose of the esoteric meaning that they must apply the key of knowledge (gnosis) to even understand and work towards having this event come upon them, so they can put on the anointed mind. You are a victim of the Letter that killeth.
And no Sabbath isn't on a Sunday. Where did Yeshua or even Paul for that matter ever say that? Again another tradition formed by the latter church whom integrated pagan mystery religion celebrations (the celebration of Mithra was on Sunday). Actually you have zero understanding of what the Sabbath is, and what it is attempting to show forth. The manner in which the Jews celebrated Sabbath was in a literalistic manner, Jesus/Yeshua made it known that Sabbath is observed inwardly.
All Yeshua asked was that you bear your own cross and walk in his pattern, but so many negate this.
Interesting though your judgments are all based on years of imperial activity in the church.
EDIT - Negative, again their is a void in your understanding. The Sabbath celebration like I said was practiced by the jews in a carnal manner. All things that are done in a early/physical manner are shadows, which hold the image of the true, but are not it in substance. Just how in this world there are only shadow temples/churches, since the temple is the body and the church is what you hold within yourself between you and the one teacher that abides within. The outer sabbath application is a shadow, the internal sabbath is not, which is to manifest the rest - completion of perfection, the end of the octave (passover). One keeps the sabbath holy, by walking towards the sabbath. Outer baptism in the same vain is a shadow, this would is a shadow in regards to the spiritual, the body is a shadow in regards to the soul/mind. But no where did Paul ever say anything about the Sabbath being on a Sunday. The resurrection is a event in the life of a seeker, each seeker must manifest the resurrection to enter into perpetual sabbath.
And guess what this used to be in the scriptures, found in one of the oldest codexes,
"On the same day, He (Jesus) beholding a man laboring on the Sabbath, said to him: Man if thou knowest what thou doest, blessed art thou; if however thou dost not know, cursed art thou and a transgressor of the law"
Sunday is sun day, the worship of the sun, it was the pagan day of Mithra in Rome. Go research.

There is only one Gospel. The "Good News" is that God loves us. That God is love. That to be part of God all one needs to do is love God and love everyone everywhere no matter what they believe.
Anything other than this is false Gospel.
Jesus also told us not to judge, but it's hard to judge if you love. To love as God loves is to become a new creature a creature of spirit. You know it's working when nothing is important here and you do kind things without thinking about it because it is what you are.
Belief without love is insufficient. If you love you don't even have to know the story. God has always revealed himself through love to people all over the world.
EDIT: You are truly in darkness.. I weep.
The BIBLE is NOT the word of God the Children of God are the Word of God the Bible is a Testament, not a part of God. I tire of hateful people claiming they have God in their pocket and God agrees.
