I'm an atheist and have been annoyed for pretty much my whole life with the pushiness, restrctiveness, contrilling behavior, and holier than thou attitude of Christians. It is not the way I want to live and I hate that there are people that think I will actually "burn in hell" for this.
BUT
The culture and faith that strikes fear into my heart is Islam. Muslims are backward, intolerant (even when they come to the USA to live with US!!!), violent, and dead-set on forcefully coverting/killing everyone that gets in their way of taking over the world. I am not saying that all muslims, or even close to all of them are like this, but they are growing in numbers and it is not a good thing. Britain is done for. They have it secured. There are more Muslim youths in Britain than any other faith. And I fear for the USA, as do many people that are educated on this subject.
SO
That being said, I think Christians will be the ones fighting for their beliefs and keeping USA free.
Opinions?

It is for that reason that I direct my efforts towards making Christians wake up. It has been my experience that they are far more reachable than muslims. And we're going to need their help to secure peace in the world.

If you think Christians like to stick their fingers in their ears and scream... you should see the muslims. Go visit a muslim forum, be respectful, but question their beliefs. See how quickly you are banned.

You're attitude toward Islam is a product of the mass media and it's relentless fear- and hate-mongering. Islam and Christianity are not as far apart as would seem at a glance. Also,I cannot but wonder if your own experience of life has been somewhat restricted. Most Americans have known American Muslims and would find your stereotype dissonant with their own experience. Having said that,as a Catholic I appreciate your willingness to at least acknowledge that we do represent a healthy value system. As to your negative experiences in the past, they reflect too much contact with fundamentalists and not enough with Catholics and mainline Christians - Lutherans,Presbyterians and Episcopalians. Thank you for your comments.

Christians are extremely tolerant in comparison to Moslems and Jews. Look at the Moslems nations in the Middle East. They are intolerant of Christians even wearing crosses or praying Christian prayers in public. Saudi Arabia and Kuwait do not even allow Christian Churches in their nations.

Also look at the Jewish state of Israel where they have extremely discriminatory policies against both Christians and Moslems. For example, Israel's Law of Return allows only Jews to immigrate to Israel and become citizens. Another example is Israel's Jewish Heritage Law that sets aside 90% of all Israeli land for use by JEWS ONLY. Christians and Moslems are forbidden to use or buy this land. There are many more examples.

Christian nations in the West protects both Jews and Moslems and allow them total freedom of worship and of proselytizing. You should thank God these majority Christians nations are so tolerant and loving of anti-Christian religions such as Islam and Judaism.

As Atheists, we can't sit back and do nothing while the Christians and Muslims start a Holy Nuclear War.

But we are not in power and we have no control over the radical decisions, based on biblical prophecy, that our government makes.

Radical Islam must be stamped out. But in order to be successful, this must be done without creating more radical Muslims in our wake, something the Bush administration does not understand. Every time a civilian dies in Iraq, another 10 terrorists are created, all screaming for vengeance against the White Devil America. On our present course, there will never be peace.

honestly, i don't think that it is the Islamic religion/Muslims that will 'take over the world'... tho something along that line will happen.... it will be someone who will seemingly just want to bring peace who will deceive the world

as for fighting for my beliefs/faith... I will stand firm in my faith til the end, and pray that God will give me that strength. and true Christians will stand firm for your freedom as well....

I have an update for all your books.. how about?: "hey wake up little kiddies...lets stop talking about flying pigs and walking spoons and put our feet on the ground. how about we take a look around us and see how we are twisting this world apart and how we are leaving it for the next generations. Love and tolerance of all is the key. War has been over for awhile now, it's just that some of us don't know it yet."

Jews/Muslims/Christians have all changed their book many times throughout the centuries to adjust and survive in changing economical, political, and social times. Like many other religions, including the Muslims, throughout the world and time. Everyone with a college education can begin to see that with just a little reading.

It is the traits & beliefs that you have inherited from past generations that has lead us to this global confused state of mind. The fog is clearing. If you take the world right now for example. There are 6 Billion people; can you imagine that, we'll try again 6 Billion. Maybe you can't grasp that concept, but we'll go on. There are 300 Million people in the U.S.. Now who thinks all the U.S. citizens are of one track-minded 50's life-style thinking? Not to many, we are all different and should be tolerant of each others life style's etc... Like it or not, there are mormons, white's, blacks, mexican's, catholics, jews, gays, short & tall people, fat and skinny, old & kids, hermits, partners, and polygamists; and there are good willed people and ill willed people in all catagories. We can't and should not; want to try to get rid of them all, lets live with each other, be tolerant, and mind our business.. hehehe...

It's not the christians or the muslims that will win this 3rd world war, and final war I might add. It is the human race who will save and protect freedom and this world..., or parish completely forever..., soon.

You're correct. The dunces that compare the occassional bad acts by baptized "Christians" with the the consistently brutal 1200 year history of "islam" are morons. They know nothing factual about history.

fyi MOST Muslims are not like that..Most are very kind hearted and family oriented...as a Christian ill admit i've met more nice/caring Muslims than i have Christians (most i meet are in it for image) Thats the first problem with your question...otherwise everyone regardless of religion should fight ot keep our country free, although imo its a worthless fight.
