Yes, I think so. Satanism is mostly a rebellion against Christianity, because aside from the Bible, there is no character which personifies evil and can be worshiped. So if what they are doing is rebelling, it is not necessary that they embrace the Dark Side. There are better ways to go. So they need some education in comparative religion, in philosophy, and related topics, in order to decide more intelligently what they believe and do not believe.

But I think most of them are doing it as a sort of fashion, not taking it seriously. It's to freak out their parents and teachers. They will drop it for atheism, agnosticism or some other religion once they grow up a bit.
