How many times do these words appear in so-called sacred texts? How many people realize these words come from men, and that they were specifically intended to cause 'sheep' to carry out 'their' will, under the pre-text of 'god's' will? Sadly, too few I think...

just though of a few more, and if any of you want to add some, by all means, let's hear 'em...

accursed, repent, pray, humble, servant, judge, bondaged, ashamed

You're a sniveler. I despise snivelers. Don't like someone telling you that you're wrong about something, eh? Better to be told now than when its too late.

Sounds like you're "admonishing" us to me; Sounds like you're "rebuking" us too, and "scolding" too.
Sounds like you believe that you have "dominion" over your own destiny and that you are the "supreme authority" on earth instead of God. Sound familiar?

Sure, be free....from EVERYTHING - including love, joy,
peace, hope, and ultimately, yes, that's right.....
be free from freedom itself (ultimately)!
The ultimate negative in life is not ever knowing
and worshiping God.
Be complete, know who God is and what He
has done to complete you and set you free!

You answered your own question. But I was going to say it makes me think of the old testament, and the so called "benevolent" god.

What do I think? I think they need to be read in the context they are in, in the bible, since that's probably what you're referring to.

I trust God. If you don't.....okay!
