Who do you look up to or hold in high regard?

Jesus said, "Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.” John 8:24

Is this really love to not tell our family and friends the truth? If you do not tell them the truth you are basically watching them die.
28 So Jesus said to them, “Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife[a] or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life. 30 But many who are first will be last, and the last first. Matthew 19:28-30

John writes that Jesus said John 3:16 before Jesus died.

So Jesus didn't tell you had already died for your sins.

Who told you Jesus died for your sins.

Do you regularly believe people who say they saw a talking hologram?

Or how about when a baseball player steps up to the plate, instead of crossing himself and looking at the sky, he looks down, gives the devil's horns and says 'Hail Satan.'
If that happend I'd go buy his jersey.

forgiving others of their sins?

Every Christian Church I have visited do it this way:

Get saved by believing Jesus died for you,

then you can study how Jesus told you to get saved by your conduct.

I do not know why but people say they don't generally mix very well but I try to incorporate both into my life. Though I do not belong to a peticular branch of Faith, I do infact believe in a God or Higher Being as well as Destiny, Fate, or a Plan and it's probably what's preventing me from having a nervous breakdown...I also try to put my Faith in Science as there are simply Gaps that Faith alone cannot fill and it's always been there for me as well and just as big a part of my life as my faith. It let's me do things I would not normally be able to do and most people religious or not in general probably take it for granted. Without it you would not have the nice things such as electricity, cars, and cellphones. It's probably the only other reason why most of you are alive right now instead of dying off at a younger age like in the old days without medicine...

1- if a marriage is celebrated by a priest who is abusing children (therefore some christians would say he is in the devil´s side), is the marriage blessed by god or the devil??

2- if adultery is cheating on your partner, if the sexual intercourse with someone outside the couple is known and accepted by both, is it still adultery (i mean if there is no cheating since both know about it and accept it) i suppose it must be called adultery as well but is it acceptable?

This particular apparition was witnessed by someone I KNOW, It took place in Egypt not NYC or Vegas!...So you can't say it's some kinda stunt or a laser show!! Remember Egypt was and still is a third world country with limited hi-tech capabilities.

Was John so loving that he quoted what he thought Jesus would say, but accidentally simply described what he thought(in his own words)?

I've decided to turn my life over to Christ. After some soul searching as well as researching other religions I feel that I have made the right choice for me. However I don't know what sect or denomination I'm gonna choose if any at all. I mean I was baptized as a baby in the Catholic Church but was never active in it and I've never done Communion or Confirmation. So what's the next step? Does any of that matter? Do I have to be baptized again or is the baptism as a baby enough? Oh and I'm an adult now.

what do you think is meant by the statement in the bible
"do not depict anything, whether from this earth nor from heaven. do not worship them".

Is it okay then to have a TV since it is a depictation of the earth and of imagination and sometimes of heaven?
Is it okay to make photographs?
Is it okay to hang pictures or posters on the wall?

Oh wow where to start. I have been raised to believe in God, and I do believe in God. I feel like a bad person because sometimes I doubt God, though. There must be a God. I know i'm not going to turn into a frickin tree when I die. If theres not heavan, what happens to us? Do we just vanish from everything? That can't be. There has to be a heavan. The bible is proof that God exists, right? Please asure me that there is a God and if you have any proof or if you just know that God IS real please tell me. If you think God isnt real, please tell me why and what you believe.

My Jesus is bigger than your Jesus.

Meaning that my Jesus is the Word of God. Yahweh Elohim, the Father, Word & Holy Spirit is Creator, before creation of us.

Mormons are constantly being ridiculed for having beliefs that are not "in the Bible". I have been conversing back an forth with another user regarding this whole "Rapture" belief. These are comments from a non-Mormon regarding the non-existence or absence of "rapture" in the Bible. He has not yet been able to tell me where it is stated in the Bible:

USER: What does the absence of the word "R-A-P-T-U-R-E" have to do with the fact that the event to which it refers to is clearly taught in the Bible?

My response to this was once again something to the effect of where is it in the Bible? In which he responded:

Maybe you misunderstood his meaning. The word "Rapture" like the word "Tinity" are theological terms which refer to particular concepts taught in the Bible.

My question is this:

WHY IS IT OK FOR OTHER FAITHS TO "ADD TO THE BIBLE" BUT IT'S NOT OK FOR US (MORMONS) TO HAVE ANOTHER TESTAMENT OF JESUS CHRIST AS A COMPANION TO THE BIBLE--NAMELY THE BOOK OF MORMON?

What about ghosts or psychic abilities? What about UFO's? The Lochness monster... garden gnomes...santa clause?

No insult intended, just wondering if you could be an atheist and still believe in things that aren't God. Cheers, thanks alot.

She walks to school with the lunch she packed
Nobody knows what she's holdin' back
Wearin' the same dress she wore yesterday
She hides the bruises with linen and lace

The teacher wonders but she doesn't ask
It's hard to see the pain behind the mask
Bearing the burden of a secret storm
Sometimes she wishes she was never born

Through the wind and the rain
She stands hard as a stone
In a world that she can't rise above
But her dreams give her wings
And she flies to a place where she's loved
Concrete angel

Somebody cries in the middle of the night
The neighbors hear, but they turn out the lights
A fragile soul caught in the hands of fate
When morning comes it'll be too late

Repeat Chorus

A statue stands in a shaded place
An angel girl with an upturned face
A name is written on a polished rock
A broken heart that the world forgot

How heartless can you be?
