well here are verses declearing Himself as God. remember Moses and the burning bush. God decleared Himself as the great I am. Jesus did this many times and once they picked up stones by Jesus walked by them.

John 8:23: And He said to them, "You are from beneath; I AM from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.

John 8:12: Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I AM the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."

John 10:9: "I AM the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture."

John 10:11: "I AM the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.

John 10:36: "do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, 'You are blaspheming,' because I said, 'I am the Son of God'?

John 11:25: Jesus said to her, "I AM the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.

John 14:6: Jesus said to him, "I AM the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

John 15:1: "I AM the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.

John 19:2: Therefore the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, "Do not write, 'The King of the Jews,' but, 'He said, "I am the King of the Jews."'"

I am sorry you feel that way. You have the right to believe any way you like and I support that right. I believe God and Jesus are the same, along with the Holy Spirit. I believe the reason He called Himself "The Son of God' is because He wanted people to believe in the words He was teaching and preaching, not the Old ways of God. He was laying the foundation for a "New way" of Salvation and Religious Belief. Hope this helps. Have a Super day and thanks for the question. :)

No it doesn't. Jesus is the Son of God. God is God in three persons: God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

By the way he was crucified, not stoned.

Common belief is that the correct interpretation is he was saying "I'm the son of God, we are all the son of God". In other words, we're all a part of the God.

Yes, they would have stoned him if he'd said he was God. Even those with sin.

Jesus Christ said he and the Father were one. (John 10:30)

The Pharisees were always trying to stone him as a blasphemer because they didn't believe (or want to believe) he was who he said he was.

Jesus wasn't scared of anyone - He was God! He chose to lay down his life for our sins. Would you agree to take someone else's punishment? Unto death? We can't comprehend his love for us.

No, he thought saying that phrase would turn him into a superhero, like how "Shazam!" would turn the kid into Captain Marvel. Unfortunately, for Jesus, he didn't have enough faith so God took him out with a 2x4!

Just like professional wrestling!

Jesus represented humankind, and he spoke as only one of god's children.
