He's known about the prophecy in Revelations for more than a thousand years. All he'd have to do is hire a reputable ad agency and retain a few strategists. It's not like it's hard or anything.

I have a church home group tomorrow. And this week i was asked to lead the group. Except i can't think of anything to talk about. There are 7 women in th egroup including me, and i was asked to prepare something short to talk about and then maybe discuss it. Anyone has any ideas? It doesn't really have to be a subject, maybe a poem or a story that is really inspiring or touching/emotional relating to God. Please Help

they're treating you in a way you don't want to be treated?
The Golden Rule is to treat others the way you like to be treated.

If someone treats you bad does that mean they're just asking for it back? Should that mean I treat them poorly?

Or is it to just one's view? No matter how other want to be treated you still treat them how you want to.

But if everyone's treating each other they want to be treated how can they actually get it?

Being an artist(my girlfriend calls me a "frustrating" artist, rather than a "frustrated" artist; a term of affection...I hope) and an Atheist, I haven't a traditional picture of God...or any picture at all. Perhaps I just never considered God in terms that I can relate to. So, here is my effort to try. Which of the following artists most closely approaches the ideal of God:

Andy Warhol(Completely unapproachable, except through his work)

Yoko Ono(Complicated performance artist---I actually like and respect her, and have met her!)

Robert Mapplethorpe(Photographer of both the light, and very dark, side of life)

Piet Mondrian(Plasticist; think of "The Partridge Family" bus)

Otto Dix(Able to construct a very personal hell for everyone)

Alastair(Art Nouveau at its most sinister; also a devout Catholic)

What do you think?

Mormons invite people to learn the basics of the church and then pray to God to find out if the things that they are teaching are true or if they are false.

I know of no other church that asks everyone to do this. Are the Mormons the only one?

Is every other church afraid of what God's answer might be?

Do you know of any other church that makes such a widespread invitation?

After all, if God does have a church, and if he does speak to us, wouldn't he guide us to find it if we sincerely sought it???

Käliya felt great anger within his heart, and thus he grabbed Krishna with his mighty coils. Seeing the incredible way in which Krishna was enveloped in the coils of the serpent, the affectionate cowherd boys and other inhabitants of Vrindavana immediately became stunned out of fear. They had dedicated everything to Krishna: their lives, property, affection, activities—everything was for Krishna—and when they saw Him in that condition, they became overwhelmed with fear and fell down on the ground. All the cows, bulls and small calves became overwhelmed with grief, and they began to look at Him with great anxiety. Out of fear they could only cry in agony and stand erect on the bank, unable to help their beloved Krishna.

Question : All the inhabitants of Vrindavan were in fear , but some one was smiling , who was he/she? And why was he/she smiling ?

(No not Krishna)

Missing Books and faulty translations aside.

The Bible is a collection of parables and metaphors.

If one subscribes to taking everything in the Bible totally literally does that not remove the entire concept of "free will".

The" free will" to use ones our discernment and understanding to interpret the meaning of the Bible itself?

Think about; even though we have just taken the very first step into sapience, we can kick the crap out of every other species of life on this planet. We can even kick the crap out of the planet itself! So why bother progressing further? Could this be why so many choose to believe wholeheartedly in imaginary concepts? Is all we need to progress out of this stage a motivator of some kind?

Because of atheism's long-standing association with freethought, anti-clericalism, and dissent from religion, many people seem to assume that atheism is the same as anti-religion. This, in turn, seems to lead people to assume that atheism is itself a religion - or at least some sort of anti-religious ideology, philosophy, etc. This is incorrect. Atheism is the absence of theism; by itself, it isn't even a belief, much less a belief system, and as such cannot be any of those things.

So atheism IS CLEARLY NOT a religion, so why do creationists continue with such lies..?
