Being an artist(my girlfriend calls me a "frustrating" artist, rather than a "frustrated" artist; a term of affection...I hope) and an Atheist, I haven't a traditional picture of God...or any picture at all. Perhaps I just never considered God in terms that I can relate to. So, here is my effort to try. Which of the following artists most closely approaches the ideal of God:
Andy Warhol(Completely unapproachable, except through his work)
Yoko Ono(Complicated performance artist---I actually like and respect her, and have met her!)
Robert Mapplethorpe(Photographer of both the light, and very dark, side of life)
Piet Mondrian(Plasticist; think of "The Partridge Family" bus)
Otto Dix(Able to construct a very personal hell for everyone)
Alastair(Art Nouveau at its most sinister; also a devout Catholic)
What do you think?
