If there is an all-loving god, I think the existence of Satan is helpful in explaining natural evil (evil not directly caused by humans).

Satan is an excuse by a certain religion to press forward with instilling fear and chaos into another person- the domino affect would be complete order and subdued individuals who no longer will think for themselves!

there is no satan the evil in the world comes from humans not one specific being. I think the belief in Satan if just a copout a way to feel like you don;'t have to take responsibility for the evil you've done (not you as in you but you as in humanity)

It's just another way we can screw ourselves up. Satan tries to harness it. So we have our sin nature, the world's collective mentality, and Satan to move us in the wrong direction.
If I read my Bible right, the world and Satna will agree with anything that we believe, as long as we don't trust God. We can believe in God all we want, but if we trust God, we are an enemy to him.

Satan's biggest trick so far is getting humans to deny his existence. He loves this, but won't cut you any slack.
If you don't believe in Satan, but believe in God, there's a bigger chance you'll unjustly blame everything you think is evil, or disagree with, on God.

Whether or not we need satan is not the point. He used to be one of the angels in heaven and his name was Lucifer. However, he exalted himself and wanted to be like God. Therefore, Lucifer, or satan as he is known today, and one-third of the angels, who supported satan, were thrown out of heaven.

satan represents falsehood.
so long there is falsehood, there is satan.
but satan is NOT equivalent to falsehood.
satan produces falsehood, like lies, false testimonies, sins etc.
so how can you deny satan exists?
