as to the first qoute. Jesus is claiming to be the gate keeper. He will choose who passes the gate. It does not say, that he won't choose to let moslems, hindus, pagans, or even me through. Just that he is the gate keeper.

1) The sacrifice Jesus made on the cross, His death and resurrection is what opened the door of heaven for us all and there is no other way that we are capable of entering. It is only by His mercy.

2) The true kingdom of God is in our hearts. It is there where He reigns. If Jesus is not the Lord of your heart, He is not Lord any other way

3) Jesus, knowing what He was about to face hoped that it would be possible that He would not have to do it. This was the human side of Jesus as the humble Son of Man. By submitting to His Father's will, He set the example for us all. Let God's will be done at any cost.

Taken all together in context, those verses show us what the Trinity is. Jesus, the man who submitted to the Father. God the Father who was willing to sacrifice to save His creation. And the Holy Spirit, who is in our hearts - the kingdom of God within us and among us.

I am the way, which means he is the one to follow, he is the example of his Father Jehovah and he will guide you to the way of ever lasting life on this earth.

Truth, you have to learn what the thruth is about God's Kingdom. Mis-conceptions ,Lies, mis-leading people, false doctrins, false teachings by church and state have confused people as to what the real truth is about what God's Kingdom is about ready to do to the earth. Dan 2"44

Jesus has been placed by his father as King and now sits at the right hand of his father to get ready to rule the earth.
So as King we have to go through him first for all prayers that will be answered by the Father. All rule and authority has been given Jesus to rule this earth very soon and do away with all political powers, commercail powers, and religious powers of the earth. and the the eath can be transformed back to the paradise it was originally intended for. Rev 21:2,3,4

Thats what the truth of God's Kingdom Means although many religions try to hide it but they also will see the glory of God's Kindom and it will be up to them wether they want to live under those conditions or not. If they don't along with every one else who make thier own choice not to they will be cut off into everlasting death with no resurection insight. So it will be a good time for some but a very very sad time for others.

Sincerely yours

John 14:6
As the way, Jesus is the path to the Father. As the truth, he is the reality of all God's promises. As the life, he joins his divine life to ours, both now and eternally.

Luke 17:21
The kingdom of God is not like an earthly kingdom with geographical boundaries. Instead, it begins with the work of God's Spirit in peoples's lives and relationshipss.

Luke 22:42
Jesus showing us that it is okay to express our true feelings to God. Jesus exposed his dread of the coming trials, but he also reaffirmed his commitment to do what God wanted. The cup referring to the terrible agony he knew he would endure.

John 14:6 tells us that it is only through Jesus Christ that we can return to the presence of our Heavenly Father. It also shows that Christ and God are two separate individuals.

Luke 17:21 This one is a little confusing, but as I understand it has also been interpreted to mean "the kingdom of God has already come unto you". I take that to mean that Christ is teaching that the kingdom of God has been shown to them - or us if we apply this to ourselves - through him. That it is through Christ that we will obtain the kingdom of God.

Luke 22:42 shows the vulnerability of Christ as he hung on the cross. He knew that he was sent to "do the will of his Father" and that he would die for the sins of the world, yet he was in pain. It was a final plea to God the Father to take away the pain. But if not, if this was indead his will, then let it be done.

typistatheist: That verse tells us that the unregenerate (those who do not believe in Chrsit for their salvation) will not be able to tolerate the christian. They have opposite natures. One obeys the lust of the flesh, the other is continually at war with sin. So if a mother is saved, and the son is not, than the mother will constintly be at odds with her son. There have been extreme examples where parents literally gave their children up to the authorities, and vice versa, because the parents were not christian and were so against christianity, they sent their christian children to their deaths.
That verse you pointed out was saying this.

The first is Jesus saying that only though him can you be saved.
The second means that when we come to God he lives within us.
The last was right before they came for Jesus and he was asking God if there was another way but he wants to do Gods will what ever that may be.

What does these verses tell us about the nature of Jesus?

"For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man's enemies will be the members of his household."

"I have come to cast fire upon the earth; and how I wish it were already kindled!"

"Perhaps people think that I have come to cast peace upon the world. They do not know that I have come to cast conflicts upon the earth: fire, sword, war. For there will be five in a house: there'll be three against two and two against three, father against son and son against father, and they will stand alone."

Proverbs 1:7: So let me get this straight, God sent Jesus down in order to bring conflicts upon the world, by separating the saved from the non-saved due to arguments and divisions? That doesn't seem very loving to me.
