The atheist believes there is no God, we came from nothing and we're going to nothing.

If there is no "God", then there is no right from wrong.

My question, why do atheists still understand it's wrong to kill someone, but giving to the poor is good? Where does that right from wrong idea come from?

Basically, I am interested in two things:

1) Which denomonations of Christian believe that sex before marriage is a sin.

2) Even if such a thing is ordained, do Christians who follow such Christian sects generally speaking abide by such a rule?

My favorites are:

• athiest (i before e except after c…. well uhh maybe not)
• beleive (that's what I'm talking about)
• looser (that’s Mr. loser to you)
• your (when they meant “you’re”)
• ‘s (when they wanted to make something plural) & vice versa (e.g. its instead of it’s)

(BTW, here's a complete list of exceptions to the i before e rule: www.steve.wagar.com/ibeforee.htm)

Unfortunately, I have to preface this by saying I'm agnostic to avoid the pointless comments from atheists that I'm dumb for believing in God. Can we please get over that and answer the question?

If they were the only ones alive at the time and were "perfect partners," why would they be ashamed of seeing each other? Is the Bible saying that it is evil to not wear clothes and that we all naturally know this? What about peoples who don't wear anything or don't cover up everything?

Is there something like "flying thoughts" or traveling thoughts?

This is really weird. One of my friends recorded his girlfriend on his phone just as she wanted to start playing the guitar. You know when ppl sometimes strikes a cord and then it looks like they'r thinking about something deep, well his girlfriend did the same thing. She played a cored and then stopped, the next thing you see is a little white "mist" ball popping out her head, it makes a funny noise and then just travels away.. It liiked like a little cloud that popped out her head and just flew away..

We asked around about it and this one guy said that it sometimes happens when you are thinking about a really deep/positive thought.. Is this possible? Im really not one to believe in this sort of stuff, but that clip was freaky and was def not tampered with...

please if anyone ever heard about it, tell me your experiences or thoughts.

Let me guess, something exploded and life as we know it came to be? For some reason, anything that might be said will be harder to believe than the truth.

Follow my reasoning here: ID creationists want to push their 'philosophy' as a science, assume its validity as a science and then assume its correctness as a theory, no? Then proceed to push it on students, some of whom are already predisposed to this belief.

Why can't I just make up what is science and then determine for myself its correctness?

I know some of you are going to say that your teacher (i.e. god or Jesus or whatever) has made the test, so it is not the case that you have made your own test, to which I would say: Why did your 'teacher' wait until ca. 1987 to produce this 'test'?

I just think it will be interesting to see how many duh responses I get in here: Things like "The Bible has always held that ID is valid" or "Waaa! Evolutionists think they can create a science so why can't we?" or "It is just not fair that my point of view cannot be considered as scientifically valid as an evolutionist's!"

"Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. 13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. 14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire."

—Revelation 20:9-15

"And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell."

Atheists really do believe in God deep down inside. They're just choose to ignore the obvious. Do you agree?

Three synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark and Luke) and one 'Jesus-loved-me-best' shameless self-promotion from John.

But there were 11 original disciples left after Jesus ended his ministry.

Over and over we are told the Holy Ghost inspired and preserved the true words in the four gospels.

What about the words of the other seven disciples?

Are we to believe these seven men followed Jesus for three years, witnessed his miracles, went out to preach the gospel and neither they nor their followers wrote -anything- down about Jesus?

Are we to believe the Holy Ghost only inspired four of Jesus disciples, and ignored the other seven?

Would Jesus call these seven to follow him, only to let their witness and testimony be lost to the ages?

Or were their testimonies so out of synch with the four that were chosen that they were deliberately left out?

And in their place we get page after page of Paul's letters, as if he actually had followed Jesus around during his ministry.

Do you find it odd that certain people are given special rights because of their religion? I heard that students at a public school were caught washing their feet in the sinks because of something to do with their religion, and now are being provided special rooms to do this while in school. I thought that this country had a seperation of church and state. So why must we use my tax dollars to pay for facalities to accomodate one religion, but when the christians wish to do something (without funds from the government) it is shot down like we were requesting to test a nuke on the white house?

I think there was a Barabara Walter's special where all these people and some celebreties talk of ending up in the hospital or whatever and they die (the hospital's have it on record that they did die for a few seconds or minutes) and they go to Heaven and see family who had died earlier or they see a bright light. and they they come back. some kind of doctor says it's just images in their brain. but how could that be if hospitals have it recorded that they did die at one point?
i beleive them. do you?
